I just took my LPN / LVN exam. It stopped at 86 question. I've read alot of articles that it was a good sign coz the more questions you get the more chance that you are below passing grade. On the other side I just did really bad that the CAT figured that I am really not doing well. I've read articles from the past years like 2013-2010. I wonder if this "notion" is still up to the present 2016? I just took mine this month March 2016 for the first time. I enjoyed taking the exam as if I am just answering a review practice test. But I only got like maybe 5 SATA and Delegation / Priority Questions. I can't figure if my question is getting harder which I heard is a good sign. I have some diet food questions that I think was easy but still not sure with my answers. I felt like I don't know nothing at that time and kept on guessing for like 50% of the exam. Does having only 5 SATA test a bad sign? I guess? I know a lot of test format changed for the past years. I heard that every year the passing % gets higher and higher. Also after 24hrs of my test I tried the PVT. Hoping that I can get a good pop up. Was I too early to do it? I've seen some videos and articles but it was years ago. Does anyone tried the PVT this year 2016? is it still accurate? I had a bad feeling that I failed. coz the payment has been received and on process and they emailed me the receipt that's $200 again!!! It's just so sad that California does not participate on Quick result. Need to wait from 4-6wks. Geeezz!! thats to long!!! Well I am starting to study again and hope for the best. Any comment on this is highly appreciated.
I took my exam July 25, 16. I am going on week 4! I have not received any letter yet I tried the PVT trick 2 weeks after my exam and been doing it every day until I get my letter. Got the good pop up, im hoping I passed because I have a job interview for a LVN position and I already told them I passed.. Going to be a huge embarrassment If I failed.
Any of you who passed in July 2016 for LVN exam already got their license?
I took my NCLEX LVN on July 11th got my letter on July 18th. I've been trying to call the Board since morning, kept getting that automated message, so I tried calling again around 4:30PM, waited around 15 minutes, I finally got through and spoke to someone human instead of getting that "Volume is high" message.
Anyways, I submitted my fee via check cause I had problems registering with the breeze, I had to email them before I got registered, but I already paid thru check before I even got registered with breeze. My check was received on July 25th (certified mail so I can track it) and was cleared on July 31st according to the lady on the phone. She said that it takes 4-6weeks from the date of the payment being cleared before the license number will be posted on the website and another 7-10 days for the actual license to arrive via mail. So she told me that I should be able to see my license number posted around 1st week to mid September. What a wait. ugh.
The PVT trick still works because i just took my exam on August 8 and received the "good pop-up" after the exam as well. I passed! So congrats to you, nurse @sbfca! Although i have not received by license in the mail yet, i know it will be arriving soon. I would advise you to pay the fees online on BREEZE, which is what i did. I paid for the license on August 13, but still nothing posted online. From what the previous member wrote on Aug 31, it looks like it will be a little while longer than the 4-6 weeks. I am hoping they post my license within the next couple weeks because i have a job offer already! so good luck to you!
