NCLEX---last question wrong

I know this may sound dumb and I'm sure there are other posts related to it...but does the last question 'make or break' your score?

I took the NCLEX-PN yesterday. I know 85 is the minimum so I was getting nervous after I hit 85. I got 2 more questions and it turned off. Now I'm worried because I know you're 'on your own' after 85 and I only got TWO questions. I think I got the last one wrong, so I was just curious if that makes/breaks your test. If I was doing poorly and the computer thought "I just need one more to be 95% sure she'll fail" and then I got cut off, doesn't it mean I probably got it wrong? Somehow I just couldn't see the computer shutting off if you got the last one right. I'm sure if it meant you were obviously passing it could, but I'm 99% sure I got it wrong. When it cut off after such doubt, it only made me think I failed.

Anyway...just my venting for today. I find out my results tomorrow. Thanks for any replies. This place is a good 'outlet' to talk, even if no one responds.

I had one question about how long everyone is waiting for the resultz. I am in Ohio. When I took the PN boards, I had my "unofficial" results by the time I got home. We could go onto the web site et get them. Then when I took the RN boards I did the same thing, onlly it took 3 days that time to get them. Can you not do that in every state? Also if you did not have the internet, there was a phone line that you could call et pay to get them. Either way, you had to pay a fee ($8.00 I think), but you did not have to wait weeks for your results. Just currious. I would be interested to hear how it is done in other places. Thanks!

well. here in California, we dont have "unofficial result". we have to wait- as early as 1 week, OR as late as 4 1/2 weeks (which is the worst part) for the results in the mail. lucky to those who got their results right away. we also do not participate on the QuickResult website nor the 900 number. i know it sucks; we just hope this waiting period (4 weeks) will be worth it =(

I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :balloons: I CANNOT believe it! After all I've been through, I finally did it! I had SO many people praying for me---and that helps sooo much!

Well I'm new here too and I took my NCLEX-PN yesterday morning, so if everything goes well I will find out my results tomorrow! I can tell this is going to be a long night -lol- I honestly walked out of the testing center knowing I failed. I felt like I guessed every question and trust me that is not a good feeling to have. I know there is no sense in worrying about something you can't do anything about, just keep me in your thoughts and I hope to update you on my passing :)
