Its regularory bodies in canada. Anyway, I thought you are in Ontario, Canada. Hehhe. Btw congratulations!!

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to share my NCLEX experience. I took my NCLEX, today...and I am patiently awaiting my results. Who am I kidding?! My stomach has been doing flips since I got out!

A little background: Graduated on Dec 17, 2016 and received my ATT on Dec 30. I scheduled my exam for Feb 8 at 8am. My entire class did the live Kaplan review course from Jan 9-12 and on Jan 11, I decided to reschedule my NCLEX to Feb 2, however, on the last day of our review course, I felt uneasy about the amount of time I had from then until the NCLEX, so I pushed it back to Feb 8.

Before the in-class Kaplan review, I had already completed Question Trainers 1-3 (as per our instructor, they were all content-based) and the Diagnostic Test (I'll list my scores below). During our in-class review, our instructor had us also take the Practice Test. I hadn't completed any QBank questions prior to my live class because I wanted to ensure I had the strategy down (decision tree). So once the review class was done, I used sample tests 1-4 as a jumping off point. From there, I did another Question Trainer every 4-5 days and ending with QT7 on 2/1 and Readiness on 2/2. In-between the QTs, I would do 150 Kaplan Qbank questions as well as 75 UWorld questions for a total of 225 questions per day. I ensured I reviewed each question right and wrong and took notes on where I felt I lacked knowledge and used Saunders to look up content (Kaplan lacked in the rationale section, whereas UWorld was very thorough). I also made a point to understand why I got a question right or wrong. I always did sets of 75 when I did Qbank questions.

On Feb 3 I ended up pushing my NCLEX up to Feb 6 at 1pm because I felt ready. I had completed 100% of the Kaplan QBank, all of the question trainers, and all of the diagnostic tests. I also completed 1200+ UWorld questions as well as the sim/self-assessment (I took the self-assessment in the beginning of my studies on 1/20--2.5 weeks prior to my test date). In addition, I did ~800 NCLEX Mastery app questions. However, I focused mainly on UWorld and Kaplan--NCLEX Mastery seemed more like non-passing level questions. Plus, I enjoyed the UWorld rationales waaaay better.

Kaplan Scores:

QT1 54.7

QT2 48

QT3 45

QT4 48.7

QT5 59.3

QT6 61

QT7 60.8

Diagnostic 62.2

Readiness 73.9

Overall Qbank 59 (completed all 1608 questions--no repeats)

UWorld Scores:

Overall Qbank 60.8

SIM/self-assessment 69, placing me in the 94th percentile with a very high chance of passing (took 2 weeks ago--I should've taken it closer to the NCLEX)

In the beginning, I was averaging in the low to high-50s on Qbank. Towards the end, I was getting anywhere between low-60s to low-70s.

So how did I feel today? Ate a good breakfast, took my time, ensured I would have a stress-free morning. I got to the testing center an hour early! The center is on the 4th floor of a major building, so I was sitting in the lobby waiting until 30 minutes til. I ended up getting fidgety, so I went up to PV way early. I checked in and ensured I used the restroom beforehand. Once I started the NCLEX, I closed down the clock so I wouldn't look at it. I took each question one-by-one. I felt as if the questions started off easy and then became more and more difficult. Once I got to question 60 or so, I kept reminding myself to breathe and focus. I also tried to mentally prepare myself in case I went past 75 questions. I answered 72, then 73, then 74, then I got to 75. I took a big breath and then hit submit. The computer shut off. The questions were challenging, for sure. I got 19 SATA, 2 math, and 1 hotspot.

I left feeling a little numb and somewhat relieved that it had ended. Afterward, I met with a friend for lunch and a beer. I absolutely had no appetite. I tried to force myself to eat, but my stomach was doing flips! I was more nervous after the NCLEX than before! The wait is truly agonizing and California doesn't participate in quick results.

I got home and tried the PVT with an Amex gift card that had $6 left on it and got the good pop-up. "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time."

And now, the wait begins...

...I will keep you all posted.

Hey everyone.

I just took my first NCLEX this morning. I got done about an hour or two ago. I got to start early like maybe around 7:30am, but I still had 6 hours to finish nclex though. I finished in 2 hours with maybe around 110 questions done. I actually don't remember what question I was on when the test ended. All I remember is that I took a break at question 99 and then a few minutes after it ended. The proctor even said, wow you finished so fast after you took your break. I had like at least 10 select all that apply (maybe a little more, I didn't keep count), maybe 3 exhibits, 2 drag and drop (put in order). I left there feeling like I failed.

My friend from another state who also took the exam today in the morning as me, called me and said hers ended at 75 questions and 3 other classmates also ended at 75 questions. This made me feel even worse because I didn't end at 75 questions.

I did the PVT and got the good pop up. Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time.

So this eased my mind a little, but I won't truly believe it until my unofficial results are available. I'll let y'all know what I find out.

Congrats Purplecat4! Good pop up for you as well!

Hi.. im sure that you will pass. Goodluck!!

Thanks so much! Will keep y'all posted!

Relax, eat a good breakfast, and remember you got this far and this is another stepping stone.

I passed! Took the NCLEX on 2/6 and my license posted on the California BreEZe website at 1:20am today 2/8!

YAY! So happy! Going to sleep!

Congrats!! You're officialy a RN!

I also passed! I checked my state licensing website and the status of passing results of NCLEX is completed! They still haven't given me my license number, but at least they got my results!

Thank you, life&kneel. Thank you for your encouragement.

I took NCLEX Feb 8. I had over 100 questions but less than 200. I remember taking at break at 106 and when I came back from my break the computer shut me out. My anxiety got the best of me. I couldn't think straight. I couldn't focus. Every question I had I just knew I wasn't doing well. I panicked. I had two med questions and various SATA, teaching, and priority. I tried the PVT since it had worked for my classmates that had recently passed and I didn't receive the popular screen you get when you pass. I changed a few numbers around on my CC and it declined meaning I didn't pass according to the PVT. I'm awaiting my unofficial results, which will post by 2 pm in Texas. I feel so so numb. All I can think of is failing. Of course I will bounce back, but I'm just in utter shock. I feel so down.

Congradualations! What was your study strategy and your score?
