NCLEX in February 2017

Nursing Students NCLEX

Taking my nclex in February. Very nervous. I' m using uworld? 52nd percentile. Any suggestions?

Somehow, I didn't like Kaplan. Their tree didn't work for me. I liked uworld which explained me with rationals more in depth and I learned a lot. I took HESI exit 2 exams with 930 and 927 score which is high probability of passing. It was $30 I guess. Just wanted to tell you, I researched a lot and HESI exit exam was strongly recommended. With my uworld, I finished with 52% correct and redid my incorrect ones to 55%. It's hard to wait for result which is stressful. My application shows pending still.

So jealous of these people who passed the NCLEX already! Here are my scores idk if im ready just yet. Im taking it at the end of the month.

I have been reviewing like crazy! I did qtrainers 1-3 and diagnostic test prior to the content review. Here are my scores:

Diagnostic Test: 41%

Q trainer 1: 57%

Q trainer 2: 55%

Q trainer 3: 47%

RN Practice Test: 68%

Q trainer 4: 54%

Q trainer 5: 57%

Q trainer 6&7: (Reserving it for next week)

NCLEX Sample Test 1: 52%

NCLEX Sample Test 2, Priority Test 3, & Alternate Format 4: (Reserving it for this weekend)

READINESS TEST: 62%

They said 62% is 92.8% probability passing the nclex???

I am doing UWORLD too so far im getting 50s on there.

Hello, I test in three weeks and its my third attempt and ive used uworld twice the first time and it did not work out for me. Right now I do not know what q bank to use. I have been doing some questions in this book but i feel like I need to use a qbank. I getting really nervous. any advice for me? I test at the end of this month. Thanks.

I used Kaplan exclusively. I passed with 75 question ( took nclex Feb 13) I studied for 10hrs a day everyday for three weeks . I Did 150 questions and reviewed every single one of them. Good luck .

I am doing Kaplan, but I cant always utilize the tree.

Did you utilize the tree while testing for the Nclex? Any tips?

Congrats on your success!!!!!

The decision tree works, problem is the bulk of the questions are going to be "outcome" questions, not Maslow or ABC.

Towards the end of my NCLEX studying, I found myself using the tree less and less. I had a better sense of what the answers were because of the way the questions/answers were presented. With that said, I did over 5000 questions (all of Kaplan's QBank, question trainers, diagnostic, and readiness tests plus 1100 questions from UWorld + the self-assessment), reviewed each one right and wrong, and ensured I understood the rationales. I did content review when I wasn't familiar with subject matter and took ~30 pages of notes. Passed last week with 75.

Good luck!

I'm surprised you already did your readiness. My Kaplan instructor told our class to reserve it for the end and to take it about a week before you test.

With that said, I suggest you continue doing the question trainers and QBank. Make sure you review all of your questions--right and wrong. Looks like you're headed in the right direction, though. Good luck!

I'm officially RN, BSN. Thank you all!!!

What did you guys use to study? I just did the uworld assessment today

I am new to all nurse and wanted to share how I was able to pass the Nclex exam. I graduated in 2015 and took the exam as soon as I could after nursing school. I failed the first time in 186 questions and got pretty down seeing how ati gave me an 87% chance of passing and I still failed. I decided to do the Kaplan program. I didn't watch a single video or read any material. I did all the Q trainers and about 800 questions on the Q bank. I passed in 131 questions. I am the worst test taker and if I can pass the exam, I promise doing tons and tons of questions you will pass. Oh and I took the predictior at the end of kaplan and got a 65%. I think my story shows that you don't have to do much review or reading just stick to doing questions. Sorry about the long post and I hope that reading this gives you a feeling of confidence coming from this guy who literally barely got through half the classes throughout nursing school and I was still able to get it done lol!

Thank you for sharing this! I needed to read this from someone who I could relate to.
