unofficial vs. official results?

Hi everyone! I called and got the results for my NLCEX (I passed! c:) but they said it was the UNofficial results? Can someone please explain this to me? :)

Only the board of nursing to which you applied can release your official results. The NCLEX examination results in the Quick Results Service are unofficial, and do not authorize you to practice as a licensed nurse.

Yes but does everyone get this message? Is it pretty standard?

Yes, If you get your results from Pearson Vue, it will say that. Pearson Vue can only tell you if you passed the NCLEX, your state boards determine if you have met all of their additional standards and issue you your official license. Hope that made sense and helped.

That is something that you will need to deal with. There is no way to know if you passed or not if you are unwilling to check your results, or you can wait until you see your name on the BON website or you get a letter in the mail.

I know how that feels. :icon_hug: I didn't want to check either, but I think it might be better to see how you did so that you can: A) start to prepare again as soon as possible, or B) to start rejoicing and not feeling horrible thinking that you failed when in reality you didn't. :) Good luck to you!
