I did the Pearson Vue trick about an hour after I finished the exam and got the good pop up ("Our records indicate...blah blah blah"). I'm so excited!! Based on the threads around here and even the support of the trick from my professor, I believe I have passed. But like many, the true proof will be when my state's BON updates my license to "RN"!

Thank you all so much who said a prayer for us test takers last night and to those who said a prayer for me personally if you happened to see my thread last night!!

The computer shut off at 75 questions for me. I kept a running tally of my select alls and I marked up 29!! I used Kaplan QBank and QTrainers to prepare; I averaged from mid 50s to upper 60s on my trainers and 59% on full completion of the Qbank. I also did a few sections from Lippincott's Q&A on areas I wasn't confident in. And I did about a third of Lippincott's Alternate-Format only book - I'm grateful I did! I highly recommend that book if you need extra practice with SATA questions!!

YAY! Congrats! :yeah:

Hahaha! Thank you!!

Make a post/thread whenever you are testing (since you're keeping the date secret! ) so I can send a little prayer up for you!

The whole test is kind of a blur now. Just myself in general, I tend to second guess myself anyway!

My advice would be to just take each answer one at a time. Don't read into the question or answer choices; As my professor told me: "Everything you need to know to answer the question is in the stem of the question. All the correct answers are listed. Understand what the stem wants, and rationalize your answer without playing the 'what if' game or making up stories for the answers. The answers are what they are. Point blank. Don't add preconceived notions to them, and don't take away from the information listed."

Like others around the site have said, use the true/false strategy to pick your answers. How I made myself get over second guessing is I told myself that once I click an answer, it stays clicked - so I had to really convince myself of an answer before checking it off.

Congrats to you!

I took the NCLEX RN on 6/28. Did the trick after I got home, got the good pop up, and found out today my unofficial results were I passed. Wow, 29 SATA!! That's alot. I had about 15 alternate format and thought that was more than enough.

Congratulations!!!:yeah:

After you take your exam, log on to the Pearson Vue website and try to register to take the exam again. If it won't let you go to the credit card page to pay and you get a pop up saying you've recently scheduled an exam, and that another registration cannot be made, it means that you have passed. Likewise, if you are able to get to the credit card page to pay, it means that you have failed.
