Took NCLEX, does PV trick really work?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I told you all I would keep you guys posted on NCLEX. Today I took my NCLEX at 2 p.m. and I was completely done within 50 minutes.

I got 75 questions which consisted of 1/3 of the exam being SATA and a couple drag and drop.

I have heard stopping at 75 with a ton of SATA is typically a good sign. Can anyone attest to this?

Additionally, I did the Pearson Vue trick and got the "good pop up." I live in Vegas, so I will not have results for 48 hours and wow, it is so hard to even think straight when all you have on your mind is DID I PASS!!!

How many of you guys used the PV trick and it was successful? Just trying to ease my mind. Please share all experiences with me if you can.

Thanks everyone!

Hi :) Crossing my fingers that you passed!

Planning on taking NCLEX in the next 1-2 months. Would you be willing to share how you prepared for the exam? What resources were the most helpful for you?

Thanks!

Hey!! Yes I'm going to cover that in another post tomorrow! I'm going to cover what I used to study, how long I studied and all that good stuff. Add me as a friend and you can probably keep up easier with my postings.

My situation (number of questions, SATA, good pop up) was the same as yours and I passed. I took mine on a Friday. I did not get any notification but my license posted on the BRN web site early Sunday morning.

I PASSED!! Yay

What did you use to study and how did it compare to nclex?

I'll be doing an entirely separate post on that! Stay tuned!

I did the trick and I got the "good" pop up and did end up passing, but also one of my classmates did the trick and got the "bad" pop up and he ended up passing too. So maybe he input some of his info wrong which made him get the "bad" pop up. I couldn't sleep after I took NCLEX and instead of waiting for my results I did the PV trick and checked the board of nursing website for my state, I was on the website the very next day at 7am my name and license number and date issued were all there! So perhaps you can try that if you're as impatient as I was!

I PASSED!!! Woo hoo! What a relief

Funny, I took my exam at the same time as you and had the same breakdown of questions! My name was on the MN BON registry the next morning so I didn't have to wait too long, thank goodness. Congratulations!!

Specializes in Med-Tele; ED; ICU.
Yes PVT works (in most cases) It sounds like you passed, congratulations!![/quote']

It either works or it doesn't... the qualifier "in most cases" means that it doesn't.

The large majority of people pass on the first try so we should, in fact, see many people proclaim the efficacy of the PVT.

Or maybe it's bunk.

This is the best explanation I have ever seen. It needs to be on a flyer and posted in nursing schools.
