Took NCLEX, does PV trick really work?

Published

I told you all I would keep you guys posted on NCLEX. Today I took my NCLEX at 2 p.m. and I was completely done within 50 minutes.

I got 75 questions which consisted of 1/3 of the exam being SATA and a couple drag and drop.

I have heard stopping at 75 with a ton of SATA is typically a good sign. Can anyone attest to this?

Additionally, I did the Pearson Vue trick and got the "good pop up." I live in Vegas, so I will not have results for 48 hours and wow, it is so hard to even think straight when all you have on your mind is DID I PASS!!!

How many of you guys used the PV trick and it was successful? Just trying to ease my mind. Please share all experiences with me if you can.

Thanks everyone!

Well, I take mine tomorrow so I don't know but will try and let you know. Im curious as to is nclex similar to uworld and did you feel prepared. No one explains this lol once they test, I do plan to.

One girl in my class got the bad pop up even though she passed because she put in INCORRECT card info. I think it's accurate from everyone who has posted.

Hey! I took it Monday and had the exact same situation, 75 questions with 28 of them SATA... I did the PVT and got the good pop up but was still nervous but luckily my state released by license number the next morning! I am sure you will be fine!!!!

If she put incorrect card info and she passed - it would still say that she had a current registration and a new one can not be made at that time.

If she put incorrect card info and she didn't pass - it would say card declined / wrong cc info as it will attempt to re register the applicant at that time.

As for your question regarding world - it is similar even down to the color and font of the questions.

Best of luck!

It worked for me!!

Hi :) Crossing my fingers that you passed!

Planning on taking NCLEX in the next 1-2 months. Would you be willing to share how you prepared for the exam? What resources were the most helpful for you?

Thanks!

I did the trick and I got the "good" pop up and did end up passing, but also one of my classmates did the trick and got the "bad" pop up and he ended up passing too. So maybe he input some of his info wrong which made him get the "bad" pop up. I couldn't sleep after I took NCLEX and instead of waiting for my results I did the PV trick and checked the board of nursing website for my state, I was on the website the very next day at 7am my name and license number and date issued were all there! So perhaps you can try that if you're as impatient as I was!

What did you use to study and how did it compare to nclex?

My situation (number of questions, SATA, good pop up) was the same as yours and I passed. I took mine on a Friday. I did not get any notification but my license posted on the BRN web site early Sunday morning.
