New format questions?

Go to http://www.ncsbn.org for info on the NCLEX. I would assume that any question on the test has the potential to be scored and would answer them all the best I know how.

I believe that as of April 2004, the alternate format questions have been counted towards your score. I haven't heard of anyone who have taken the test recently getting a whole bunch of them though. I got one on my test and it was relatively easy. My other friend said she got two.

I've heard from a company that prepares us for NCLEX that the new format questions do not count towards your score. Has anyone heard this before?

The way I understand it, you get 15 questions that are practice questions, & they don't count towards your score, but you don't know which ones are the practice questions. Never heard that the new format questions don't count.

I'm pretty sure they count now. They didn't used to count, but now that they've been around for a little while and they have statistics on how hard they are, they count them.
