Hello,

I just took the NCLEx exam and I am feeling really anxious and worried about te results. The exam was over after 75 questions. My question is:

Does anyone of you know how many out of the 75 can be wrong without you failing?

I am feeling so bad right now, I had quite many wrong for sure. I really studied hard for this exam and now I feel so down.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Melinanpt, I felt exactly the same way after I took my exam. The computer shut off at 75 questions and from what I remember I got about 35 questions wrong. So I totally thought that I failed. HOWEVER, the exam is designed so that everybody gets about 50% of the questions right only. So out of 75 about 37 questions right. What matters more is the type of questions that you answered right. If you answered some difficult questions right, you might pass. And also, about 15 of the questions that you were asked are only test questions that don't count toward your score. They are testing these questions for future NCLEX exams.

Also it seems to be a common belief that if your computer shuts off at 75 questions you passed. So I am pretty sure you passed, but of course there is a possibility that you didn't.

I am sure you are feeling anxious. I felt so awful after the exam. Seems like everybody who takes it feels like they failed. Try to relax within thse two days. You will find out soon. I will keep you in my thoughts and I'll be wishing for the best for you. Please let me know if you passed. I am sure you did.

have a beautiful day
