Hello everyone ,I'm new to this site .I am a foreign nurse planning to take Nclex on April 17th.I have already registered with my BON.I did Kaplan and Just finished Uworld ..my scores in Kaplan ranged between 40-50 and I had a 59% on the readiness test which I just took and a 66% on self assessment test 1 on Uworld which places me on a very high chance of passing according to their site .Is anyone else taking Nclex April or anytime soon ?what materials are u using??how do u know u are well prepared for the exam ?looking forward to hearing from you guys .thanks
I highly recommend uworld. I finished the whole question bank and mine shut off around 88 questions. I dont remember the exact number. But it was extremely similar to nclex. I felt like I was just doing another uwolrd quiz. Even recognized similarity in questions. This was my second attempt taking it. I had a 48% overall which isn't great but I wrote down and reviewed all rationales. I called my board of nursing next day and they told me I passed but I got the good pop up right after I took my test
HI guys! I been searching for NCLEX RN online and I'm glad that I found this site. I'm new to this site. I don't know how sure I am to take the NCLEX RN anytime this year. Just to give you a little background of myself, I'm a RN for 12 years but not in the US. I came here in the United States because my family lives here. I graduated 15 years ago. I worked in 2 countries as RN. Just asking for your advice on how to start my review? What review materials do you think are reliable? how many months of preparation do I need? Please reply. Thank you very much!
Georwise,
for studying i used nclex 10,000; Saunders; lacharity and lippincot alternate format. At first my results were on hold, but I was able to get the good pop up this morning. My bon still says pending. I think I will pay the $7 for quick results when I get home. The key thing when studying for nclex I think is to understand the rationales of every questions; and also how to approach data. I had 21 of those and one just has to love them.
i wish you much luck for next week.
Choi777,
there re is not a definite timeframe for studying, it varies and depend on your studying habits. I did the assessment on Saunders and followed the generated 6 weeks plan. After that I felt like I needed more time, so I studied for 4 more weeks before going for the board. So you will just have to set a goal, and go from there.

Hi guys, took mine yesterday April 4th @ 8am finished at around 1pm got all 265 q's and 1 million sata honestly like after every other question. For almost a year I did study after my wife leaves at 4am in the morning I have a full time job that starts at 9. I have to drop my stepson to school at 7:30. It is really the hardest thing I did. I graduated 2009 in the Philippines and was an rn there. Well anyway going back to NCLEX-RN. After the test going to my car I checked pvt and it says. Cant schedule another test blah blah. Upto now still getting the "good pop" up they said. This is so nerve wrecking. . I just keep praying all the time. Hope everything I did will pay off and I'll see my name tomorrow on my BON or Passed word on quick results. Goodluck to everyone and congrats to those who passed.
