I would advise not to take Kaplan again. I also failed using Kaplan and I took Hurst Review and I am taking the exam again in the next 10 days. When I got my report back, I was weak in one area and near passing all the others. I was able to stay in touch with my instructor and she told me that I needed to know my content better and to use NCLEX 3500 plus the LaCharity - Priortizing and Delegation book. That is what I am doing this time. I was very please with Hurst because they actually went over the content for the exam. Hope this helps. If you can get a refund from Kaplan do so if you took the live course not the online course.

hi, me too i took nclex rn last 2009 and had all near passing and one below.. i took kaplan again right now, when r u going to take urs?
I took Hurst Review instead of Kaplan. I live in Arizona. I feel that I needed to work on my content. That's what my instructor told me when I failed. She stated I needed to know more content in order to pass. It took me a month before I studied again, but I am taking my exam in early March. I am reviewing my content each day as well as doing questions. I don't want to take the exam again. It is too hard to prepare to study again.

yeah its hard to study again, i did the saunders after i failed. hard to focus though i have to do it... i am taking on march 2nd week but still working on kaplan, i do not have money for hurst, though for kaplan i only paid extension. how is hurst compared to kaplan? how many hours u review each day?
I review about four hours a day. Hurst was much different than Kaplan. Kaplan went over questions, while Hurst actually went over content that we should know for the exam. I should of taken Hurst first and then did Kaplan, then I probably would of passed. I did not know enough content on the exam and that's why I failed.

I took a Kaplan review class and took my NCLEX. Does anyone have any recommendations for studying for the second time. I am undecided if I should retake the Kaplan class or just study on my own.
