NCC Spring 2021 NASSAU COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Hi Everyone, I am a Liberal Arts student at NCC right now and interested in "Change of Program" to Nursing for Spring 2021. I have almost all the Pre-reqs done with 3.7 GPA. Only thing I worry about at this moment is the TEAS Exam. I did not take the TEAS yet and due to the COVID-19, there's no any test date available in my area. Do you guys know if they would consider my application without the TEAS? Please let me know if you know anything about this situation. Thank you

Does anyone know of students not getting in the 1st semester that they applied and then getting in the next semester??  I'm not looking forward to applying to other schools..

Hi Parkerx, 

I applied two semesters ago, it was my first time. I didn’t get in. After that I retook a class to get a higher grade, and tried my best to raise my TEAS score. Also got recommendation letters from some of my professors (although it is not required). I was supposed to reapply in March but missed the application date because of COVID disrupting everything. I got in this time around for Spring 2021. Don’t lose hope!

Statistics, did well when I retook it. And the rest of my pre reqs are done.

Thanks for the reply. Did you have all the prerequisites done the 1st time around? Or were you still working on some?

I believe when I applied the first time I was missing one prerequisite at the time. So that same semester while I applied I was finishing that one up.

Looks like we will all be taking history for the first semester based on that advisement sheet they sent out .

Gah! I dread history classes. I took a class at Suffolk called Modern American History too. I wonder why it didn't transfer

This blows. A whole semester just for history ! I was hoping we would be able to take NUR 101 too.
