Hello all! I have been avidly following previous topics about the NCP program and I wanted to start one for those of us who have recently submitted a kit for the NCP program for FY2015. I'm in the Chicago area and my kit is currently being combed over by a processor then will be shipped out for the boards- which aren't convening until Novemeber (according to my recruiter), since they wanted to have more applicants. Hopefully this will be an area to calm nerves and answer questions. Good luck to all who apply, or are thinking of applying!
I just finished my first semester of nursing school, so they also needed an updated one from me! My university just reopened on the 2nd after the holidays, so I had to wait before I could get anything. When I spoke with my recruiter, he mentioned that everything would start to pick back up again on Monday. I think you'd be okay if you brought something to your recruiter then. I submitted a bit of everything (unofficial transcript, enrollment verification). Wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything! Haha!
Oh not until then?? Wow thats a long time from now, I thought for sure I would due signing papers this month.. I know someone in my class who got this program last year around this time, and he had to wait a few months until he started receiving his stipend and bonus. I don't know If he signed up and than waited or if he didn't sign for a few months down the road

My recruiter notified me I got a Pro-Yes and indicated nothing about this not being secure, so i assume I am ok.
Also, trueblue33 it is interesting you brought up that documentary comment. During my interview processes, both of my interviewers (1 male nurse, 1 male physician) both brought up the sexual assault controversy and said the navy is working hard to make it better. I just thought it was interesting though that they both mentioned it. I informed them I am aware of this and understand my risks as a female in the military. I got to an all women's school, so i made some good connections.
