Hi Everyone :)
Just wanted to start a thread for everyone that's applied to the Navarro College ADN-RN program starting Fall 2012.
Figured we needed a place to post, ask each other questions etc. while waiting on our acceptance letters..... I was told they won't be sent out until the end of May. Has anyone else heard otherwise?
I asked ***** if I should go ahead and do my CPR and she advised me that I should not because basically if I am accepted as an alternate they will waive the fees of doing everything late so to speak. It says that I was contigent on my immunizations so I am guessing they took that in to consideration when everyone turned in their applications. I now only have my final Hep B and 1 varicella to get. I had a baby in December so I was unable to begin getting my immunizations until February:( Oh, well it will all work itself out! I am still so excited for each of you!!!
Future freshmen, I am Josh. Im a current freshmen at navarro. Congrats on getting in. Now get ready, its not going to be easy. There will be a test every week this fall. They are weeding out the weak. Stay with it and work hard. My entire class is here to help you out so dont be shy if you see us in the halls.
Fall is going to be Fundamentals of nursing and Pharmacology(hell)
our schedule went like this: skill checkoffs on monday/tueseday, tests every wednesday, lecture on thursday, and open lab friday. They add a few clinical days in there as well...just depends. Test will generally cover between 7-15 chapters per subject so you have to stay on your game. its a lot, but its worth it. And like I said, my entire class is awesome, and we are here to help out when it gets rough...and it will. just stick with it.
Hi Josh :) nice to "meet" you. Thank you for the welcome!! Are you saying each test (on Wednesdays) covers up to 15 chapters?? Oh my gosh! That's like taking a final every week!! Thanks for the heads up it's much appreciated!! Do we wear scrubs everyday to all 3 classes? Or just for labs and clinicals? I know we have to wear the red scrub tops with black pants for clinicals... But, are we to wear any color top and bottoms the rest of the time? Thanks again for posting and welcoming all of us!! I look forward to meeting all of you
