NAU Nursing Fall 2016

Published

I thought I would start this blog for the NAU spring 2016 nursing program application cycle!

I take the Kaplan exam on March 11th and the application is due during spring break. (March 15th)

Just want to know who else is out there apply this cycle :)

Ahh hopefully! Such a stressful time. Someone I know got into the program last fall said she reeived her letter/email April 17th. Hopefully they come early for us. :)

As far as enrollment, will you guys just enroll for regular classes until we find out whether we got in or not?

I'm not planning on registering until I find out..hopefully we find out really soon! :)

I actually emailed one of the advisers and asked what we should do about the situation! He said to enroll for classes as if you did NOT get accepted to the program and, if you get accepted, you will end up dropping the classes you enrolled in and they will add nursing classes. :) make sure to enroll so if you do not get in, you still have seats in other classes!

Very useful information Sarah! I wish I had known the GPA part...I retook a class I earned a B in for an A to raise my GPA but I am in the same points range either way. Do you know the points break down for the Kaplan? Thank you!

My advisor told me that the ranking on the Kaplan is first based on the science portion and if there are too many similar ones they look at math and composition..but didn't say anything about a point system.

The wait is dreadful :dead:

Hopefully we hear something next week..I made the mistake and turned in my application really early. *face palm*

So you have had to wait even longer? :nailbiting:

Yes, it has been terrible! :( Luckily, I did apply for another program here in Yuma and got accepted yesterday :D but I really want to get into NAU.

You already got an acceptance package/letter for Yuma?!

For our community college program, not for the University.
