NAU Nursing Fall 2016

Published

I thought I would start this blog for the NAU spring 2016 nursing program application cycle!

I take the Kaplan exam on March 11th and the application is due during spring break. (March 15th)

Just want to know who else is out there apply this cycle :)

im also applying for the fall, i took my kaplan on the 29th and turned in my application on the first. good luck on the test as the A&P is very specific, and most questions seem to have two right answers, atleast that was my experience.

Spartan117, that's great!

What campuses did you apply to?

And do you have any study tips? I have been going through the Kapln study book like crazy, just with the reading writing and math, and for A&P just going over my notes from 202!

May I ask how you did on the test? (:

I applied to the flagstaff campus. I didn't do as well as I hoped I would, I got a 71% overall with a 75% in the science..I just wasn't prepared for the type of questions it asked. The math portion was not to bad, I got an 80% in that as it was just fractions, decimals and fractions, basic adding, subtracting, and multiplication. The writing portion was where I did worst, got a 57% :(..I believe the minimum requirements are a 3.0 GPA with a 70% overall score, with atleast 65% in the science...I hope my 3.68 GPA is 71% is good enough to get in. The Kaplan book is good for the math, reading and writing section, but worthless for the science...use your notes, I watched CrashCourse on YouTube to study for the A&P. Good luck with your test.

I took my Kaplan yesterday and sent out my application too. I got similar results as you ^. The writing was the worst :(

good luck on your application, even though we meet the minimum requirements, we still have a chance to get in...gotta stay positive.

I'm applying for the Yuma campus..they only accept 10 people:/ I just have to hope that my GPA gives that boost!

Good luck to you as well!

@sarah.bellum

let us know how you do :)

Good Luck!

Thanks guys! (: I take it this Friday

Hey, guys! I, too, have applied recently for the Fall 2016 semester at NAU. How did you do on your KAT, Sarah? :)

Hello! :)

I got a a 84% on the Kaplan!

The writing section is what I did worst on.

I applied for Flagstaff Campus and the AIP program

How did you do?

Good job, that's an awesome score! I also applied for Flagstaff so hopefully we will both get in, the wait is agonizing! What is the AIP program? I got a 90% on the KAT :)
