National University SD Cohort 57 - Jan 2019

Hi all!

My name is Claire and I am going to be applying for my last chance to get into the NU ABSN program in San Diego. I've attempted two times previously and have been denied. First time I believe I missed the cut off by a point or two so I improved my TEAS and essay then applied again and was denied by 3/4 of a point which was pretty devastating but I wasn't going to give up. I went and retook Micro because that was my only C and got an A so now I'm going in with an 89% TEAS, 3.75/5 on the essay and I think a 3.75. I missed the this more recent cohort 56 cutoff but I plan to apply to the next one in July and hopefully raise my TEAS and essay. I'm just so nervous because this is my last chance! I've basically disqualified myself from other institutions because I took the TEAS too many times and some of my prereq's are expired according to other colleges. This is literally my dream and I won't give up! Any one else applying and can share the pain lol :)

I'm sure you got this buddy. Been writing practice essay the past few weeks to be ready for November.

I'm hesitating to even try to improve my TEAS because of how much the essay impacts the final points.

I will take it again to improve the Grammar part because why not.

Same!! Only thing I heard was during the Vets 2 BSN forum that it would be hopefully before October 5th. But I wish I knew a more definite answer since the cohort last year during this time new their results by now. And if I got in I wanted to start the co requisites in October but I probably wont be able to.

(MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) is out of office but i emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and he said we would know by Friday. They are still evaluating a few more essays.

Hey guys and gals, I just spoke to (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and she stated that we should be hearing something by the end of this week or beginning of next week. Good luck to everybody! :)

Hey everybody, not sure if you got the email but it stated that we will hear by the end of this week. Before I opened it my heart dropped though lol, as it was titled nursing admissions:status.

That email she just sent made my heart drop! Haha! Of course my last attempt is the one attempt where they take longer than expected to disclose the "chosen ones! I was staring at my phone most of the day today lol ! Ahhh! Good luck everyone!!

I emailed today and thought that was the response about the notification. Goodness this waiting is horrid. Good Luck to everyone, hopefully the wait isnt much longer.

I'm sure there's been multiple answers on this but how many times can one apply to NU's nursing program??
