National University San Diego

Has anyone had any luck with applying at National University for their nursing program? I applied back in Oct 06 and have been waiting to hear from them. They are supposed to notify in 3 months. I have called and called and written email upon emails with no response really. :banghead: Please, if anyone has applied and received some sort of letter, I would greatly appreciate your reply.

Thanks

This maybe a weird question, but hopefully somebody has an answer. When I had my classes transfered from George Washington University, my A&P 1, Micro, and Chem all transfered with a "S" (which means satisfactory grade). So my question to this is, when I apply to the Nursing program, how would they calculate my science GPA, would having a "S" hurt my GPA and/or do they except such a grade? Other than that, I am well on my way, I only have MTH 210 (taking now) and A&P 2 left then I can apply. And congrats to the ones that made it into the Nursing program.:yeah:

They will look at your transcripts from George Washington, not what transferred, for the actual grade. What shows up as "transferred" is just the number of credits toward whatever degree program they have you enrolled in.

Did you become a student before September? They are not accepting Math 210 anymore for students that enrolled after September. You have to take the NSG statistics class. Unless of course they changed policy again.

My advisor said that I'm good because I applied for the class in August 2009, right before the cut-off. Thanks for the replies.

Hi socalsi,

The "S" does not calculate into your GPA at all. It just shows that you did the course and passed it. Hope that helps! By the way, what is this about the NSG statistics class? I ran into some NU students and they were saying to look for a gap in my schedule because I will get a month off if I already took Stats...this is confusing lol!

Yup, as long as it was before September, you are good! Good luck!

Stats is a prereq. You sound like you already did those. The NSG 322 biomedical statistics class is the new prereq requirement if you became an NU student after 9/2009 and are applying to the nursing program. If you got a student number after 9/2009, Math 210 or any other stats class won't qualify. It is not a class that you take once you are in the nursing program.

Oh I see! Now that makes sense! Glad I did it before it changed!! Thanks for clearing that up! :D

Anyone hear about Summer RN admittance?
