Has anyone had any luck with applying at National University for their nursing program? I applied back in Oct 06 and have been waiting to hear from them. They are supposed to notify in 3 months. I have called and called and written email upon emails with no response really. :banghead: Please, if anyone has applied and received some sort of letter, I would greatly appreciate your reply.

Thanks

See all of you guys tomorrow! I'll be sure to order a double shot of espresso in my coffee.... I think I'm gonna need it!... :):):) lol!

hey girls! excited for tomorrow and cant wait to see what we all look like sitting together with white purses :D haha it wont be that bad. as for preliminary testing...for most of my science classes they test you in the beginning to just see where the class was at and it doesn't affect you at all, just to know if they can skip this or if the class needs to go back and review things. see you tomorrow!

it was great seeing everyone...one more question that i forgot to ask the teachers there. it seemed like no one was making too big of a deal about classes like spanish and stats being done before we started...does that include ILR 260? I am really not looking forward to that class and between starting a new job next week and another spring semester class i am in and starting nursing id rather just put it off till july. can we do that? thanks guys :D

Don't take my word on it, but I think that is the idea, as long as it is not a prereq for NURSING, I think the rest are considered classes to meet your degree requirements, so you just cant get your degree until they are completed. It was really nice meeting you all, I wish I would have run into you girls before orientation started so we could have sat together...hopefully we get lab together, I can't wait to know! I want lab the same day as theory, so I can study and eat during the break, that way, (since I know I can't go home) I am guarunteed to study at least for those 4 hrs!

yeah it was great meeting all of you. :) Danielle, I think that ILR 260 has to be done before you start nursing classes...and the others like spanish and those 2 others just have to be done before you graduate... but yeah don't take my word on it either, just make sure. :) and i hope i get lab monday wednesday too... i would hate to have it tuesday/thursday nights because i wouldn't really be able to study on tuesday nights (the night before theory)... so anyways....i'm so excited! i had a great time yesterday!;)

Hey guys! It was good to meet all of you, and just be around people that are ALL working toward the same thing - BSN. Because when you take pre-req's, your classmates all take them for diff reasons, but this time it felt like every one of us has the same mission. I don't know how else to explain it, but I caught myself thinking that yesterday, and it felt nice. Anyhow... I guess I better find out about this Spanish in the workplace thing. Cause no one told me I need to take it, but I better double check. I also hope to have lab MOn/Wed nights, so I don't have to drive there more than twice a week the 1st month - plus, I can study in between lecture and lab, with no distractions at home. :)

hey girls. i was trying to download that unbound medicine program, but its $160...how were we able to get it for free? do we have to sign up for it at national?

thanks

Yes, danielle. She said that we must sign up from any NU computer on campus... I wrote it somewhere in my notes...

ok i thought so. thanks! so much info from that day :D

Hey... I just got a call from Azusa Pacific University (APU)... They told me I got accepted into their EENAP program!... It's like a program where you first get a BSN then in the next 3 yrs get an MSN... But I think I'll pass - I'll stick with you guys! :):) APU does have a good program, but I would need to take 2 more prereq's to before I can start (some Psych class and O'chem) - screw that! I want to start already and get my hands dirty - I'm sick of just taking meaningless pre-reqs! :banghead:

you must like us :D sounds like a cool program but i definitely know what you mean about being sick of prereqs. and not to mention the move up there may make things more difficult! glad you are going to stay with us

Oh, APU has a campus in Mission Valley! That's what's great about it! But once again... I am just eager to start already... With APU, I will have to start in Spring 2010 when I finish my prereq's! I don't want to wait that long.
