Has anyone had any luck with applying at National University for their nursing program? I applied back in Oct 06 and have been waiting to hear from them. They are supposed to notify in 3 months. I have called and called and written email upon emails with no response really. :banghead: Please, if anyone has applied and received some sort of letter, I would greatly appreciate your reply.

hahah it's funny cause i am tiny too. i'm about 5'1 and weigh about 115...i was thinking about the woman's scrub top. i don't really care for the zip up, i saw a girl come in my work wearing hers and i didn't really like it. As for me at orientation, I'll most likely bring my big white purse (it's BIG) that has a black flower pinned to it. i'll make sure the flower faces outward so you'll see it. :) i am really friendly so don't be afraid to come chat!!!*wine

haha i literally LAUGHED OUT LOUD at that flower idea. maybe tie a ribbon to our purses? that seems like a fairly subtle way. any other ideas? :roll:

hi guys,

well the two uniforms were enough for me and most of my classmates. most girls got the unisex scrubs and the zip up scrubs. I will warn you about the scrubs that have the buttons on the back... they look cute at first but most of the girls hated them because they are hard to button up. You do have to wear white shoes so invest in a pair that you can wear for 12 hours. Also veryvery important... buy a stethescope ... please. the ones provided by the school is crap.. and you will need it in the hospital. When you have to listen to breath sounds, you need a stethescope.

as always, your advice is much appreciated! Do you recommend one of those Littmann Classic scopes? Do they make you wear a nametag on the uniform? Does National give you the name tags?

thanks again honeybee! i started a CNA certification class back in january that ends March 13th and we had to buy a stethescope. mine is pink... do they have to be a specific color like black or white??? (or is pink ok?)
