Has anyone had any luck with applying at National University for their nursing program? I applied back in Oct 06 and have been waiting to hear from them. They are supposed to notify in 3 months. I have called and called and written email upon emails with no response really. :banghead: Please, if anyone has applied and received some sort of letter, I would greatly appreciate your reply.

Thanks

HAHA i did that yesterday too!! i've never done it either so i was surprised how strict they are! (checking pockets, locking my stuff up, no flushing, no washing hands, etc.) Which quest diagnostic centers did you go to?? i was at the one in oceanside...

I went to the one in La Mesa... Garfield Dr or something... They did the same thing with checking of the pockets and all of that... I had to ask her twice: "No Flushing??" She was like "no". :nono: I just wasnt understanding why at that time... But I guess they just want to make sure you're not mixing your urine up with anything probably..:chuckle. I don't know...:lol2:

I can tell! And so do I. :specs: So do you know how it works now that we have done the drug screen? Are we supposed to get something by mail that we bring to orientation? Or do you know if they just send the results over to National... I'm kinda confused about that..:uhoh3:

I called Jenn (i think that was her name) at National - her names was on the bottom of the letter I received with my Chain of Custody form. She said that they don't need anything - she can just log into the computer and check to see that all was done. :typing So, sounds like the results automatically go to the school. At the time I was ordering my background check online, I also requested a copy of the report sent to me via email (they do it for free). I just got that copy. They checked for Sex offenses, Social Security traces, litigation....etc - there was like 6 diff. categories they checked, and it says "no record found" in all of mine. :monkeydance: Also, it shows all the things the tested the urine for, and next to each it says "negative" - (well, that's not a surprise, :))... Anyway, i thought it was interesting...:D Did you request to get a copy of yours?

Yep, and just got it! Everything negative but really not like that's any surprise, lol.

Orientation....1 week from tomorrow!!!:yeah:

:stdnrsrck:

Great! I have my physical exam tomorrow morning... Did you have your doctor fill out that form completely at the time you had your exam?

Yeah as much as they could... And then they have to do titers for MMR (must have) and Varicella (unless you've had the varicella immunization) which take a few days to get lab results back so i left it there and picked it up 2 days later and it was all completed and done. Good luck tomorrow! ;)

Well, I'm glad I had all the blood work and x-ray done ahead of time. So, when I came for my physical this morning, since all results were already in their system :typing, the PA was able to fill out the form in its entirety. So, I am all set with all that stuff. Yey! :yeah:

Hi h0n3ybee! I was wondering what you recommend reviewing in preparation for the first class, Health Assesment? Some say to review the Loop of Henle and all functions of the kidney, what meds are absorbed, etc...

hey prettyinpink, wow i cant believe how many people have been on posting the week i was moving! haha. anyway, i am having trouble getting the powerpoint for the HIPPA thing to work, any suggestions? plus, my email is [email protected] if it is possible to still email me that email everyone else got about the requirements (im pretty sure i have them all done, but just in case!) thanks.

oh i have one more question everyone. i did my physical a few weeks ago...well i scheduled a physical but once she saw the papers to fill out she only checked them against my immunization card, gave me the flu shot and i was on my way. are there any other forms to prove that you had a real physical done...you know checking eyes and ears and all those sorts of things :D ? orientation friday! i am worried ill be missing something.

also...how long does it take to get the background check thing sent to you? mine is still not here! i scheduled a time to do the drug test so i dont have to wait any longer...i was sure it would get here. so how long did it take you guys to get it?

THANKS!!!!

My background check... it only took about 3-4 days for them to send me my Chain of Custody letter, so it was pretty fast. As for the physical exam: I think as long as your doc filled out the last part of the form, where it says that she "finds you in generally good health" and signed it, I think you should be fine. I assume you had all the blood work drawn for the titers for MMR, right?
