Hello Pre-Nursing Students! I thought I'd start a new thread since the application deadline for Cohort 66 is only few months away.
I plan on applying for November 2020 deadline. I recently transferred from a community college and will be taking BST 322 and ILR 260 with NU. I will also be taking the TEAS by October. Please feel free to share your stats: GPA, TEAS, work experience, second degree (if any).

Hi. Did you take the IRL 260 challenge exam yet? I’m scheduled in two weeks and I don’t know what to expect.

The average TEAS score and Math/Science GPA for Cohort 65 were as follows:
TEAS: 86.5%
Math/Science GPA: 3.74
How do you compute your GPA?

I will be applying in November to cohort 66. I was chosen as an alternate for cohort 65. To give you guys an idea of the grades needed to be considered, I received A’s in all prerequisites except for anatomy (with a B). My first attempt TEAS score was 86%. I am a licensed human phlebotomist and have 5 years surgery experience in veterinary medicine. I will be retaking the TEAS a second time 10/21 to try to improve it to at least an 89%. I used the Mometrix book my first attempt and I’m now working through the entire Trivium TEAS prep book. I also downloaded an app with practice questions that I work on daily! It’s called ATI TEAS study prep (shows up at Nursing School once downloaded).
This just hella made me so discouraged more ? I don’t have competitive grades and TEAS score. And I don’t have money to blow off to keep retaking the TEAS and retake classes to get a higher grade.
Hi, everyone. I took my TEAS yesterday and I got a 70%. So sad. It was my first time taking it. My lowest was the English part and my highest was Math. I underestimated the English and Reading part. For science, it was expected I had two days to study. I wanted to get a feel of how it would go but I felt like the questions I got were pretty easy after looking up the questions that I remembered. I was basically overthinking the questions and my answers. I don’t know how this will go honestly. It will be my first to apply and I don’t know if I’m gonna get it. All of you guy’s scores and grades are so high ? I don’t have any money to blow off to keep retaking the TEAS and retake classes I got a B on. I wish you all good luck. This is stressing me out so much.

Don’t get discouraged I only studied for really Hard for like 2 weeks prior to my first exam last Friday and I took it five days later and raised my overall score 4 points. I am going to take it again. Maybe just space out to right before deadline, some questions will be recycled. I am taking mine again probably Nov 9
I have a 3.43 GPA and im going to retake my TEAS. Does anyone have any words of wisdom for the reading section? I have been taking practice exams and "little quizzes" and have been scoring 90 and above but on my first TEAS exam I scored an 80 in the reading section. Im hoping to get a better score so I can apply in November with confidence.

Oh my goodness, CONGRATS!! I’m genuinely happy for those of you getting high TEAS scores. Your scores are showing the effort you are putting into your studies and I admire that! I’m taking my TEAS tomorrow morning and only had 2 days to study (only math), so I am not feeling confident, but I am also not giving up. I know I can schedule the TEAS 2 more times before the deadline and I’m trying REALLY hard to understand every subject! For those of you scoring 70 & below, DO NOT GIVE UP! THERE IS TIME!
