Greetings! Wondering if there are others who will be applying/have applied for Cohort 56, which would begin October 2018!
If anyone is out there, hopefully this thread will a serve as a place to ask questions, provide insight/advice, vent, celebrate, wallow, etc. :)
For my situation, my prereq's are completed, and have recently completed the TEAS. I submitted the application (which was crazy quick and easy to my surprise), and am just waiting for a date to take my proctored essay.

I applied to this cohort as well. I saw that you took the test a couple of times but I'm wondering where we the rest periods between the tests. I haven't been to the forum since last year so I forgot most of what they said lol however on the NU website it says we can't take the test more than 3 times and with a 60 day rest period in between? Just seeing how you did so. You give me hope girl :)
I received my date, too! I'll be going in on Monday the 14th... yikes! I'm hoping I don't get a really random essay prompt. It is definitely time to start practicing.
Mine is on May 16th, also I just scheduled a writing center appointment at Spectrum library. Going to try and pick their brain about what to expect in terms of formatting, substance, and possible prompts that might show up!
Hi all, I applied to 56 as well and this is my third time applying so I'm really hoping I get in. Just to give some insight I scored an 85% on my teas, 3.26 gpa, and I believe I got a 4.25 on my essay. I don't think I'm going to retake the teas, but I am definitely going to redo the essay. I'm really hoping to at least get alternate for this cohort :/
I applied to Cohort 56 as well. My test day is May 16th. I took my TEAS last week and got an 89.3% and my GPA is 4.0. I'm trying work on my essay writing skills and have an appointment next week with the writing center, that is definitely my weakness. I haven't decided if I'm going to take the TEAS again on the 16th. Good luck to everyone.
Hey guys, I also applied for Cohort 56! My TEAS & essay date is coming up on the 17th. I made an online appointment with the Writing Center because I heard they will send you previous prompts used and I really want to make sure I get the highest score possible. I haven't taken the TEAS before but I'm just using the Mometrix book to study and I plan on buying the practice exams from the ATI website. I really hope my scores will be good enough to get into the program!!!
