Roll call, who's applying to NU San Diego Cohort 54?

I started my journey 6 months ago. Completing Microbiology this month, then TEAS prep and proctored essay practice. GPA will likely between 3.4-3.7 so going to work hard for a strong TEAS result. Would love to start to get to know some of our fellow future nurses.

The countdown to the 22nd is on and I'm extra stressed out again. Hope everyone is doing else is doing well!

I'd like to join the FB group, but if I didn't get in, I'd have to leave and that would just be really sad. LOL

What do your scores look like?

I know that the 22nd is the soonest that we can find out, but I don't think everyone finds out on the same day...just to keep expectations realistic.

From what I understand, everyone finds out on the same day. They send out the admissions notice to everyone at the same time. I also did email Elizabeth Stabile asking her when we will know by and she said by the 22nd. So as long as there are no delays we should hopefully all know soon.

Omgoodness!!! Just 10 more days til we find out then. It's already feeling like its the longest 10 days of my life!

Same here! Just hoping it doesn't get delayed for some reason but other than that I don't see why we all won't know very soon!

Good to know, thanks for the info!

AHHHHH!!! In only a few days we're finding out if we're in!!!

I want to apply to I suspect cohort '55', whichever would be the Fall 2018 cohort. I retire from the military in August 2018. I called National University. They mentioned that the Fall 2018 cohort would start in Oct. 2018. I am interested in the ABSN, a.k.a. post bachelors 2nd Degree BSN RN.

Seems like kind of a scam, that National University requires this 'Bio stats' class that only their nursing program requires. Its required even for those that already have taken a traditional statistics course. $750.00 approx. that I have to shell out just to apply to National in addition to other schools.

I was not accepted into Azusa Pacific-San Diego campus ELM for Fall 2018 cohort. So National is next on the list. National and Cal State San Marcos. Neither one was a preferred option for me, as I live in South Bay Chula Vista and the commute is undesirable. APU would have been pretty good.

I'm not really sure what to take from your post here, but I will respond to couple of things. First off, yes it is redundant to take bio-stats, but that is their requirement. Every school has something different, and it's not really that big of a deal because the class is helpful in analyzing medical data; this is indeed completely relevant to nursing. $750 is really not much money in the big scheme of things, school is not a scam, it's a business.

Sorry you didn't get in to Azusa Pacific, but if you didn't get in there, I doubt you will get into National either, especially if you are just thinking about it now and you haven't even taken bio-stats. I personally think National is a better program, just as good as any other if not one of the best. Also the fact that it is your second choice will probably work against you, as these cohorts are now very competitive. No one is choosing their nursing schools anymore, the school are choosing them. Keep that in mind. BTW, National was my first and only choice of school. Good luck to you.

Hello Everyone!! Does anyone have an update? I know that we were told that we would find out tomorrow but from what I've heard it could take 2 weeks + from the date they estimate we will find out. Just wondering so I can mentally prepare so Im not obsessing clearing my emails every second when its going to take a few weeks. lol

I am also keeping my expectations at a reasonable level for when we find out.
