Roll call, who's applying to NU San Diego Cohort 54?

I started my journey 6 months ago. Completing Microbiology this month, then TEAS prep and proctored essay practice. GPA will likely between 3.4-3.7 so going to work hard for a strong TEAS result. Would love to start to get to know some of our fellow future nurses.

Can you give an example class? Is that for people that don't have all of their general ed requirements done?

I was wondering why no one posted in my Cohort 54 thread, because everyone is posting in THIS THREAD! LOL. Hi everybody, I took the teas and essay today, it went pretty well. I think I killed it on the essay, but who the hell knows for sure; I felt good about it. For those of you inquiring, my advisor told me that there are 214 applicants to this cohort(breaking the record of the previous cohort by more than 50 applicants!! Holy crap!!) and they are taking 38, not 40. Apparently the last one was very full, as is this one. That means there is a 18% acceptance rate, compared to SDSU which has a 7% percent acceptance rate; just to give y'all perspective. Oh yeah, my teas score was 90% and I have a 3.9 GPA. Good luck you guys, see you in April if I get in. Peace-John

Awesome job on your scores!!

No, they are additional BSN degree requirements. They are just a few courses you have to take on your own time - so Elizabeth Stabile was telling me if you have time it's best to get them out of the way before the program begins so it's one less thing to worry about later. The classes are 1. Spanish for the Workplace, 2. Cross Cultural Communication and 3. Cultural Pluralism in the USA OR Cross Cultural Dynamics.

I didn't know about those courses. So if I'm a fluent Spanish speaker I have to take that first one? I should be able to test out I think...I'll contact her. So we can take those once we are accepted, correct? Or anytime??

Update: Just found out that those with a bachelor's already don't need co reqs, incase yall were wondering.

Good to know because i was wondering the same thing.
