Roll call, who's applying to NU San Diego Cohort 54?

I started my journey 6 months ago. Completing Microbiology this month, then TEAS prep and proctored essay practice. GPA will likely between 3.4-3.7 so going to work hard for a strong TEAS result. Would love to start to get to know some of our fellow future nurses.

Hi Hopeful_SD_Nurse. Where did you do your TEAS prep? National said their math and science portion isn't released yet so I can't sign up.

Howdy xo, I invested in the ATI prep course. I liked that the lessons were based on questions that I missed in practice quizzes, so I didn't have to study material that I already know. It has quick 1-2min videos embedded in the lesson plans and those were enough to help me figure out most of the answers. If you want to check it out, PM me and we can meet at the library; you're welcome to click through the entire interface. I never even opened the book, you're welcome that borrow that too.

Hi All!! I also applied for Cohort 54 in San Diego. Pretty nervous about the upcoming essay for next week. I've read some other threads and I saw some of their essay prompts so I'll start writing practice essays. Good luck to everyone! Hopefully we are all accepted and we can all hang out/cry together for the next 22 months. :)

Also, I was told there was about 200 applicants with only 40 spots available to fill. is this information correct?

I think they only take 50 students in per cohort 10 of which are alternates from the previous cohort. So, yes, 40. Very competitive indeed!

Hi! What is your GPA/TEAS score? :)

Hi! My gpa is a 3.58 and teas is 84.7. After reading other threads for the previous cohorts, I feel my scores are pretty average. :(

Hi everyone! I also applied to Cohort 54. I will be taking my TEAS on Monday the 13th and I'm pretty nervous about it, especially the essay portion. Does anyone know if the essay is done on a computer or is it handwritten?

Hi! What is your GPA/TEAS score? :)

My GPA is 3.83 and I got a 78 on my Teas. I got accepted as an Alternate for Cohort 53 but all the spots have been filled so I will be starting with Cohort 54.

Hey! I know essays and TEAS testing begin this week. I am wondering about any examples of essay prompts? I take mine this Wednesday and am soooo looking forward to getting it done. Good luck to everyone!
