the anticipation is killing me!! after working hard for 2 years i finally completed my application to national university for their Accelerated BSN program. i took the teas 5 just over a week ago and am expecting my acceptance/rejection letter during the first week of june. even though it is just 3 weeks away, it seems like a lifetime! if i am accepted i will be joining the october 2011 cohort. anyone else going to nu during this time?
I'm blowing up their phone lines right now, but noone is answering. They are adding more pre-reqs to the next cohort application and those grades aren't all A's. None below a B- though. So that actually hurts my chances of reapplying. Was I wrong or didn't they just consider A&P1 and 2 Lecture and lab grades, micro lecture and lab grades, and biomed stats grade?
Bioman it sounds like you have excellent grades and chances of getting into the next cohort, I too tried to call their department to see what my status of "alternate" means exactly, but I didn't get an answer either. I'd try to email and Definitley get a breakdown of your scores to apply for cohort 29, good luck!
All my grades that transferred over were from a 4 year university where I got a BS in Biology. So I would have thought they were equal. Maybe thats it though. Thanks for replying. It is helping me not be so bummed knowing that I'm not going crazy with my application. I would have thought at least waitlisted. I'm not trying to be cocky, but I was just so confident in my application.
You're not crazy at all! If you are post bachelors degree there may be less spots available. We all applied for the generic BSN program (well atleast I think we all did). We don't have a bachelors degree yet. Maybe that's why you got denied, because you applied for the wrong program.
Maybe less spots, but still would have thought that I'd be competitive even in accelerated bachelors. I applied for the correct cohort because all my pre-reqs were correct.
Is margie the person who gets emails at [email protected]? I already emailed for my breakdown. How quickly does she (or he) usually reply? The added pre-reqs were Psych, Sociology, and Public Speaking. Just applied for Cohort 29.
These are already prereq's, are they going to start including those classes towards points? ------'s email is different. She has always replied back to me within the same day. In the first email they sent out the said the breakdown would be available within 2 weeks, so she may not be able to tell you much now. I will try to sent you a PM with her email, dont know if I am allowed to put it here.

Reapply for the next cohort. The applicatin deadline is june 10th ( i think) and your grades and teas are so good you have a really good chance of getting in on the second try. are you going to email to find out your points. if you do let us know, it sounds like you should have been accepted with us.
