Hi everyone!
I just recently applied to nursing cohort 38 starting next April in San Diego. I'm currently waiting for my teas and essay date. I'm so anxious to find out if I've been accepted or not but I've been told we probably won't find out until January or February! Is there anyone who is in the same boat as me? Hope to receive some replies on here! :)
Jennaready86, you should always stay positive! A 3.42 is still a great GPA. That's still a A/B average. You definitely still have shot so don't get discouraged when you hear about other people's scores. :)
Thanks for the reply SDgirl2013! Our names are so similar lol! Did you take the TEAS before you took it National? I wish you the best of luck in getting into the program!!
SDgirl2013, at least you have a super high GPA! And your TEAS score is really good! Good job with your pre-reqs. I'd say you're in really good standing for getting accepted and I hope you get in!! Is it true that the TEAS is harder at National than at SDSU? That's what I've heard from some people but I highly doubt that's true...

Hello to all. I am in the same boat except I applied to the LVN to BSN cohort 8. I should hear by the first of December. Wish me luck!!
FYI here is how you calculate your GPA.....
For the science/biomed portion you take the points that are assigned to the grade you received and multiply it by the units for that class. Once you do that for all your classes you add up your total and divide by 22.5 (sum of total units) that will give you your gpa. To calculate your points in science you would take your gpa multiple it by 10, divide it by 40 (highest gpa you can get), and multiply that by 30 (weight percent for science portion) and that will give you your points.
Remember that National gives a 3.7 for an A- which to me is LAME!!!
Also, NU does charge for the TEAS. I think it's $35. They only take credit cards in which you pay after you log into the ATI website before taking the test.
Good Luck!!!
