I applied to Nassau Community College today for the Spring 2010 semester. I understand that the Spring class is much smaller than the Fall semester. Would anyone mind sharing -- I applied with a 3.75 and all pre-reqs done. Anyone out there get in to the January class in the past with a comparable GPA? I understand that it's all according to the pool of GPA's they receive - 4.0's first, but I'm looking for a glimmer of hope.
LOL I am very impatient! I called the school admissions department and a lady told me I would be getting an acceptance letter in the mail...CALL NOW LOL
She also told me that when I get the acceptance letter it will say that my acceptance is tentative upon an interview but she said the interview is no big deal - as long as I don't have a criminal history and I speak english well (LOL) I should have no problem! I have a good feeling for you Anny I really do!

OK, since you're a transfer student and I'm a change-of-program student, our letters come from different places. Yours comes from Admissions, mine comes directly from the Nursing Dept. I did get a hold of someone at the department, who did tell me that they're hoping to send out letters by the end of this week. I wasn't able to get any specific info about my application, though.
So it looks like the waiting game continues for me.....but

Hey Suzi...I would say theres a good chance indeed!! One batch of letters went out like 2-3 weeks ago. When I called and spoke with the lady she said she would be sending out acceptance letters this week. Thats when I asked her if I was accepted and she said I would be getting an acceptance letter. I still have not received it in the mail yet - I am guessing by this weekend maybe of early next week....so if you didn't get a letter yet that is a VERY good sign!!

I am truly happy for you! In reading your posts, I know you were very concerned about being a Queens resident. Well your worrying days are over!! Congrats again :) I'll let you know if I get accepted... we'll see
I still can't believe it. Even though the lady told me I was accepted unless I get the letter I won't believe it lol. I thought to myself a few times "OMG imagine if she got my last wrong and mistaken me for someone else"
