Hi everyone! Anyone applying to NCC Spring 2016? I just took my TEAS yesterday. They are using a new way of selecting applicants so it will be interesting. They are using all classes pertaining to the program, rather than the four. Also, they aren't using the science part of the TEAS. Anyone else have any more info?
I have a BS and 3.57 in 7 classes that I have. NC resident. TEAS...I may take again, but I scored Reading 83, math 67, English 70.
I don't remember my exact TEAS scores because they are from a year ago (& I took my TEAS over in November for a different school) but i remember math was 86.7%, reading somewhere in the 80s, and English I believe a 79%. I have all A's except English 102(b+) & stats (b). Make sure you do well in the sciences. I also need history which I am taking now, and I have not taken ethics which I was going to take in spring. The way they accept students is so weird. I have stalked every thread onhere for Nassau and it's so confusing. I did not get accepted last year so I reapplied. But don't be discouraged if you don't get in. Also, don't only apply to Nassau like I did. I applied to two other nursing programs for the first time for Spring 2016 and was accepted. Good luck you guys.
Hi guys,
I know the wait is killing you. I recently found out my major stated nursing day. Although its not tangible evidence yet. It's a nice outlook. I went to register for classes then to the sitemap link and then student records then student information. It gives you a general student record and you can see your major and program. For program it says Nursing Day- AS for me. God Bless everyone.
Hi Geeman. I'm Enig and I did okay on the TEAS. I have a 81 in reading and 83 in math. Both of which I ran out of time for and a bad 67 on English. I finish all the classes, all the 33 credits. I did the last two classes over the summer, which were Bio-ethics and history. I have a total Gpa of 3.56 from all 33 credits. I'm a non-nassau resident and have been rejected twice before from nassau's nursing program.
I was discouraged and wasn't going to try again until I spoke to a representative in the nursing department. She told me I stood a better chance this time around because they changed the requirements and I had almost all the classes but two ( Bio-ethics and history). She suggested I complete the the remaining classes and here I am =). I really hope my status is what it is. I have faith.
Okay guys, This is affecting my sleep :/ if I dd not get in fine, but just tell us either way.
Geeman, what was your GPA? Do you have most classes?
mine is 3.67
teas 94, 86, 67
only 7-10 classes though....they would not take my A&P after telling me two years ago it was acceptable
nC res
prior BS degree, 3.2
Also finished part of a Grad program, 4.0
i thought I had a chance, but it's looking bleak. I can't squeeze in any lasses before March apps either, bc they are Science.

for those that applied through admissions, will the email be sent to the one you provided them when you applied? or would it be the NCC email?
