Nassau Community College Nursing program Fall 2020

Published

Hello everyone,

I did not see a thread for upcoming Fall 2020. Who has applied for this window that closes March 13th? What are your stats? I want to know like yesterday if I got in. This wait is the worst. Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you.

I honestly don’t know how they calculate the TEAS scores. I don’t know if it’s each section they give points or if it’s your overall grade

What paper work did you send to the office? Did you apply through admissions or the nursing department?

through admissions

I would contact the admissions office. I honestly would not know because I applied through the nursing department.

just received this letter, what does it mean? "Your application for nursing was received on time and reviewed. At this time, it does not appear that we will be able to offer you (and many other eligible applicants) a seat in the fall, 2020 entering class."

@sasilb It means you did not get in the program, I’m sorry ? I know a lot of students who got accepted that are going to reject their seats, hopefully you’re on the wait list if seats open up.

@youngcheerio why does it say "and many other eligible applicants"?

@sasilb that just means they had other applicants who also applied that did not get in.

but isn't that a given?

Can those who didn't get accepted show what email they recieved.

@sasilb yup. I guess that’s just how they wanted to word it ??‍♀️

I was wondering if Empire offers the western civ and society and aging class over the Summer? I was hoping to try and take those in the Summer to be able to start NUR 101 in the fall.

You can only take the empire classes once you are accepted and enrolled in the nursing program. They will have you register for ESC at the orientation date they set up for you.

Try not to get too down yet; if people turn down their seats in the program, then the nursing dept. will make contact with students who they initially turned down (and put on a list so to speak) to offer them the original students seat in the program.

I turned down my spot yesterday so hope one of you gets an email soon!!

Has anyone gotten an email for the Zoom meeting or when someone from nursing contacts us to give us more information about the program? I already did the Background Check.
