  1. Has anyone gotten an email for the Zoom meeting or when someone from nursing contacts us to give us more information about the program? I already did the Background Check.
  2. Hey all! I just got an acceptance email. Good luck to you all! And also, I applied in person in the beginning of the application cycle for anyone that was curious.
  3. E-mails were sent out that morning. I called the office to see how many points I had and was told there were about 15 students in front of me. I still have classes in progress so after this semester, I would have more points for the next cycle.
  4. You do not need those to apply to the program, however, it does help your application as admission is based on a point system. The more classes you already have completed, the more points you have (grades also come into play as well). I would suggest you start taking classes as it would boost your application. ATI TEAS include material from A&P I and II so it would help to take those classes. There are also review books you can use to study as well. EDIT: Here are the classes you can take before starting the program: ENG 101 MAT 102 PSY 203 PHI 110 AHS 131 PSY 216 AHS 132 AHS 202 ENG 102 BIO 131 Fall 2020 admission opens in February.
  5. Unfortunately, I did not make the cut. E-mails went out this morning. There were about 15 students ahead of me.
  6. Just to clarify on the slots, the number I mentioned are the seats for the sections, not how many students will get accepted into the program if they apply. Also, how would I calculate the points I have? Is it the number of credits the class is worth multiplied by the qualifying points? or the GPA?
  7. Hey, It is hard to say how many spots are available since some students get accepted into the first semester and some get accepted into the second semester. As for the number of slots available for the day NUR 101 for Spring 2020, there are 8 slots for each of the 8 sections (64 total) and 8 slots for the 4 evening sections (32 total). Keep in mind that this is only the slots available for the classes itself. Those that get accepted into the first semester will not count as part of the slots. As for the points you have, I am sure you have enough points to make the list. I hope I do. Most of my classes are transfers from my previous degree and so I cannot see how many points I have for those. I am not even sure which classes satisfied the classes for the program. After this semester though, all I need is microbiology. My TEAs score was not the greatest (80%). If I do not make it for Spring 2020, I would be taking Microbiology in Spring and studying for the TEAs as I did not study this time around.
  8. Hello all, I did not see an active thread for Nassau Community College for Spring 2020 admissions, so I thought it would be a good idea to create one. The application submissions begin September 13th and will close October 11th (unless it is changed). Nassau is now a BSN program that is partnered with SUNY Empire State University. From what I was told by the Nursing Department, once we have completed the ADN portion, we are to take the NCLEX and pass before moving onto the next semester which is strictly SUNY ESU online classes. I was also told that there is an option to complete the BSN elsewhere once we have passed the NCLEX. By the time the Spring semester comes around, I will only have Microbiology left to take. I hope I get into the Spring semester for nursing. Thank You
