day

CONGRATS to everyone who made it! Unfortunately I didn't make the cut this time around, but there's always the Spring! Good luck to you all and thanks for keeping me sane through the waiting process ? I guess I'll include my teeny amount of stats along with this.
A&P - A
STAT - A
ENG1 - A
TEAS - overall 73

Definitely did not have enough prerequisites, on top of my TEAS scores not making up for that. I probably jumped the gun a bit.
Buuut, CONGRATS AGAIN TO EVERYONE! WOO! I'm sure you all worked your asses off, so you guys deserve this!

for the people that got accepted, can you post your classes and grade you got to get into the program so that those of us getting nervous might be able to calm down?

So this is the quality point chart...

A= 4.0

B+= 3.5

B= 3.0

C+=2.5

C= 2.0

When you calculate you will take the number of credits that your one class is worth and multiply that by the grade you received, which is the quality point grade that matches on the chart.

I'll use a few of my grades for an example.

AP 1 (4 credit course) My grade: B (B= 3.0 quality points)

= 4 credits x 3.0 Q.P. = 12 points

STATS (3 credit course) My grade: C (C= 2.0 quality points)

= 3 credits x 2.0 Q.P. = 6 points

BIO 131 (3 credit course) My grade: B+ (B+= 3.5 quality points)

= 3 credits x 3.5 Q.P. = 10.5 points

Keep in mind you get 10+ points for being a Nassau County Resident and 5+ points for never being in a nursing program before.

thank you. and what about TEAS scores?

So worried, I'm afraid I didn't apply properly. I never filled out an application, I only sent in all my papers to the school and they said it was complete.

I honestly don’t know how they calculate the TEAS scores. I don’t know if it’s each section they give points or if it’s your overall grade

What paper work did you send to the office? Did you apply through admissions or the nursing department?
