Nassau Community College Nursing program Fall 2020

Hello everyone,

I did not see a thread for upcoming Fall 2020. Who has applied for this window that closes March 13th? What are your stats? I want to know like yesterday if I got in. This wait is the worst. Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you.

Mine doesn't ;(! I'm just hoping I get an email soon or a letter in the mail soon.

Mine still says liberal arts too. I think we’re all over analyzing everything. Seems like the people who aren’t current students got rolled out first. They never had a different status and got accepted for nursing so it makes sense that their transcripts say nursing. I know I’m going absolutely crazy about all of this. I’m obsessively checking my email and worrying about the mail. It doesn’t help that we’re trapped in our houses either (for a good cause, of course). In the prior terms, everyone got an email in waves, and if you check the forums from previous years they seem to support that. I have to assume that the acceptances for current students haven’t went out yet. There’s no way none of us got in. Let’s try to chill and wait it out. I’m sure it’ll be any day now. We are all so passionate and going to make awesome practitioners! We got this!!

You’re absolutely right. I doubt any of us would be nearly this anxious if we could stay busy and leave the house!

I’m an essential worker so I leave the house 6 days a week to work & I’m still anxious to find out. Next Thursday is so far away if they are waiting till the end of the month to tell us.

So I got a response from the Nursing department email. I had asked about my status change/physical letters in the mail versus emails.

"Good morning,

We are in the final stages of processing all the applicants. Letters from the Nursing Office will be sent to student’s emails by the end of April. I am not sure what physical letters you are referring to, however, they did not come from the Nursing Office."

Welp - that's confusing, isn't it?

Could it be that because they are new students, admissions sent those letters and not nursing? Seems like they don’t seem to know what the other is doing. At least we know that the emails didn’t go out. Hmmmm the plot thickens! LOL

Maybe! I'm a new student but I'm going to just wait for emails. One less thing to worry about haha I can stop longingly staring out the window waiting for the mailman!

The nursing department emailed me back!

”Your application was correctly received by the Nursing office and not Office of Admissions. As mentioned below, we are completing the process and decisions will be sent by end of April.”

too bad I already emailed the chairperson of the department as well in my panic. I hope they didn’t get annoyed and throw my application to the side ????

And that’s crazy because a girl in my class said she got a physical letter, and she’s definitely an existing student at NCC. Super shady. Honestly I’ve been taking several naps to make the hours go by and the past couple of days I’ve been leaving my phone at home and going to Cammans Pond County Park to stare at ducks so I won’t go crazy because all the trails are closed
