Nassau Community College Nursing program Fall 2020

Published

Hello everyone,

I did not see a thread for upcoming Fall 2020. Who has applied for this window that closes March 13th? What are your stats? I want to know like yesterday if I got in. This wait is the worst. Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you.

I emailed the nursing department & got a generic app window for Spring message. I will call tomorrow to see what they say.

Sounds good! This is frustrating but I’m sure their admissions process has been derailed quite a bit.

I didn't go to the info session before applying, then all this madness happened. Does anyone know if they take classes your currently taking into account? I'm a bit nervous I don't have enough prerequisites completed! ah!

@Moogie614 No, they only take completed classes that are on your transcripts.

Honestly they might just be doing this AS they choose people because I doubt this many people on here aren’t getting in. Usually you see lots of acceptances roll out at once. We’ve only heard of what 3 letters? One email? Very weird. I didn’t get anything just the damn status update haha

I have heard of 3 people getting in so far. One received email and letter, a current NCC student. Another is a current student who was accepted for night but not sure if she got email or letter. The other is not an NCC student and received just a letter. So who knows what is going on! The suspense will make us all crazy. Do they notify you if you didn't get in? I feel like the method by which you apply via change of program if you are a current student leaves room for error or applications being missed or who knows what, especially with the pandemic and school closing. Fingers crossed for us all!

I applied before school shut down so I’m like do they even still have my app? I’m finishing my last class & I don’t want sit out 1 semester to reapply. I am going crazy checking email & checking my status for any change.

Same. I put my change of program app in the first week of March. I have nothing left to take after this semester. I'd hate to have to wait and reapply for Spring.

The inconsistency is driving me nuts. My NCC information says I’m in Nursing Day and I got the financial aid email about the fall. I’m not a current NCC student... what if my letter just didn’t make it in the mail? I don’t know! Maybe I should call ??‍♀️

Good morning everyone,

I called the nursing department & the line is automated & automatically reroutes to Admissions where the message is everything is closed due to COVID. This is frustrating we can not even find out what’s going on.
