Nassau community college Fall 2017

Published

I thought I'd start a forum for Fall 2017

Also I got told that if I hadn't recieved an email at this point it is a safe assumtion to make that I am not in :(

SO SAD :(

Here's to January

Don't give up! There's always time to improve and try again. Best of luck!

I haven't gotten an email, but maybe a letter? Do you get accepted through a letter? Also I've taken all 33 credits, I have nothing else to take so I don't know what I'd do? Retake the TEAS?

What are your scores for everything, if you don't mind me asking? Have you calculated based on the points system described at the very beginning of this thread.

Were all your credits from NCC? Somehow I feel that besides looking at everything else they prefer people who have taken more credits(prereq) from NCC.

I don't go to Nassau. I took all my credits at farmingdale

I believe Nassau accepts Farmingdale credits because it is a SUNY school. I'm not sure if they would have any issues with credits from other schools though. I had some credits at C.W. Post that they couldn't match at Farmingdale so I ended up having to take certain classes that I really should not have needed to.

I got one C+ and the rest were As and Bs, I have 139.5 points when I calculated it

I took my English and Spanish credits in high school, the rest were taken at NCC

Anybody start working on their autobiography yet? Can I ask some ideas of what you guys are including?

Got accepted into day, My points were low so I honestly did not think I was going to get in 125. I'm currently in Lifespan and Med Bio Ethics, only other pre-req I need is A&P 2 which I'll be taking in the fall. I also already graduated from NCC (Mortuary Science) yes yes I know.

I'm really nervous about this interview and essay, to answer your question syntheticpoetry

(I dont have my draft outline with me at the moment) but from what I've researched,

you can include: A little bit about yourself (any life events that pushed you in this direction/why you want to be a nurse) but mainly why you'd be a good student and excel in the program. Maybe include future goals? How this program will be a stepping stone

Does this seem on point? Anyone else want to chime in...

If you've received an acceptance then you are in. The interview, essay, & pictures are just to get to know us and to get a profile of us. If you received your acceptance letter & go to the first day interview then you are good. Congratulations!

I took all of my credits at the school I got my BA. I have only retaken A&P I & II at NCC.
