Nassau Community College Fall 2016

Hello, I am wondering if there is anyone here that is applying to Nassau for Fall 2016. I have applied and I'm scheduled to take my TEAS exam on 3/18. I do not have all of my pre-requisites which I understand gives me a better chance of being admitted. I plan to take classes this summer and will take the rest in the Fall if I'm not admitted. I would just like to know thoughts on getting into this program. Also, if there is anyone currently in the program please share your thoughts on how things are going for you. Thanks!

I am still waiting for a letter.. however 2 people I know got their letters last friday but didn't get accepted :((

Really? That's interesting, still waiting for mine as well to , I am being hopeful for wendsday as I called today as well and spoke to the nursing department and was told the acceptance letters went out today so I am hopeful that if I'm accepted which I'm hopeful I am because of the status change the letter will come wendsday. However I asked about the status change and the woman made it like she had no idea what I was talking about and nothing is certain until I get the letter, oh well.

Julies1254, did the woman you spoke to actually say ACCEPTANCE letters? or just the letters? sorry to bother just getting anxious and your post got my brain going.. Thanks

My question when I called was when are the acceptance letters going out. So she said their going out today and tomorrow, I'm assuming it is the acceptance ones since people already got the rejected ones, I don't know. Again , I'm being hopeful. One more day of this nonsense I think. What r your grades and how many coreqs do you have done ? I feel like people should have a pretty good idea if they have a fair shot, I think more of the coreqs that are done is the deciding factor

Why do they keep giving us the run around ?? When I called on Thursday they said the letters were going out that day and Friday and we should get something by the weekend . This is becoming very annoying

It's possible that the people answering the phones and fielding the questions don't really know when the letters are gong out but don't want to admit it. I'm sure we will start getting something this week. If you look back on last year's posts, people were getting responses during the last week of April. Take a deep breath everyone. These things just take time.

Yeah i was looking at old forum posts and people got responses around the 27th of april... I hope we do get it soon cus i've been losing sleep from the anxiety LOL

So I currently go to Nassau as a non-degree seeking student. I stopped in to the nursing dept. office last Friday, and she told me all letters would be going out by today (Tuesday) the latest, and that the registration change doesn't mean anything. They told me that if it does change, that doesn't mean you got in. If you are a student then you should wait for a letter as they don't send emails.

I'm not sure if anyone else has updated information but this is what they told me when I saw them. I think we should probably hear by Thursday, Friday the latest!
