Nassau Community College Fall 2016

Hello, I am wondering if there is anyone here that is applying to Nassau for Fall 2016. I have applied and I'm scheduled to take my TEAS exam on 3/18. I do not have all of my pre-requisites which I understand gives me a better chance of being admitted. I plan to take classes this summer and will take the rest in the Fall if I'm not admitted. I would just like to know thoughts on getting into this program. Also, if there is anyone currently in the program please share your thoughts on how things are going for you. Thanks!

I applied through admissions, my status def changed I have all of my classes done except the bio ethics class and I have a 3.5 average. My teas score was advanced 85percent. My major has changed to nursing on my unofficial transcript as well. I am not a Nassau resident

okay. so anyone else check their unofficial transcript to see if their major is nursing??!!

I think peoples status changed only if they applied through admissions. If you applied as a change of major, I dont think we will know if we got in till we get our letters.

I called the nursing department. They said its not a definite that I got in just because of the change in major of study. They said if I applied through admissions I would have to wait for an email!!!! Ugh the wait..

Has anyone else tried to register for fall 2015? I'm able to add classes???

Well it's Friday and mail just came... still no letter :( . Good luck to everyone else , if anyone gets a letter please post so we all know.

Did you apply for day or evening program? I'm going crazy - I hope I get in or I'm stressing myself out for no reason

I applied for Day, also I applied as a change of Major not through Admissions. I don't know if it is true that people who applied through admissions have seen a change in status. My status is still the same. I'm going nuts over here. I hope it comes tomorrow in the mail... Good luck to you!

I didn't get anything in the mail either. I think the status change does have to do with applying through Admissions. I graduated from Nassau in 2013 and had to apply through Registrar as a Non-Degree Returning Student, so my transcript is for my old degree and my status says my degree is "not pursuing degree." Hopefully, we get something tomorrow because then we have to wait until Monday!
