Nassau Community College Fall 2015

Published

Hey guys I'm just starting another thread for the Fall semester, because it seemed the past threads were very helpful. I also had a few questions and wanted to see what other people's opinions were on my chances of getting into the program. Feel free to share your thoughts, questions, etc!

I am a Suffolk County resident and not a student at NCC. Will this hinder my chances of getting in? I've read in previous posts I would be losing out on several points because of this? I rather have you guys be 100% honest than as opposed to giving me hope. As far as my grades it's as follows...

Anatomy and Physiology I: B+ (3.5 Suffolk Community College)

Statistics: B+ (3.333 Syracuse University)

English 101: A- ( 3.7 Stonybrook University)

Psych 101: A (4.0 Suffolk Community College)

TEAS V: 84.1 Advanced (I believe this was 94-95% percentile)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

They have plainview hospital, south Nassau hospital, Huntington hospital and Winthrop hospital for evening

Yes I picked south nassau too...they will give you a list to pick from...then once the registrar changes your program you can walk right over to their computer and register for what you want...Im guessing it's first come first served though if the class is filled you'd get whatever is left

My orientation is at 11am so I'll probably just be stuck with whatever's left. Thanks for the info!

I have advisement is tommorrow hopefully i can pick south nassau too !

You can do a class look up on banner to see what's left.. Seems B section is popular (south nassau). There are only a couple seats left...a few at plainview...most of the seats are at hunington

is B1 for day? i am looking up the current classes but for evening i only see sections T11 T21 T31:down:

A=plainview B=south nassau C= hunnington

for evening people there is only t=Winthrop

i guess winthrop it is.. Thank you for all the info!

For ppl with advisement tomm... Totally random tidbit but I noticed today when they had us in the room with everyone, they chose ppl by the door first (then so forth in order) to go meet one on one with a faculty in another room next door...once that's done you are free to go to registrar..the faster you get out the faster you can get to pick your seat...not sure if it will be the same routine tomm...not saying to rush but keep it in mind if you want a specific hospital

Hi, i just finished the evening program. If you are an evening student you have no choice of hospital, its always winthrop. The section you choose usually determines what group you are in for clinical (which classmates).

Anyone at registration today choose section T11?

Pixie976, you just finished the program? How was it? Do they help guide you as far as finding jobs and finishing your bachelors?
