Nassau Community College Fall 2015

Published

Hey guys I'm just starting another thread for the Fall semester, because it seemed the past threads were very helpful. I also had a few questions and wanted to see what other people's opinions were on my chances of getting into the program. Feel free to share your thoughts, questions, etc!

I am a Suffolk County resident and not a student at NCC. Will this hinder my chances of getting in? I've read in previous posts I would be losing out on several points because of this? I rather have you guys be 100% honest than as opposed to giving me hope. As far as my grades it's as follows...

Anatomy and Physiology I: B+ (3.5 Suffolk Community College)

Statistics: B+ (3.333 Syracuse University)

English 101: A- ( 3.7 Stonybrook University)

Psych 101: A (4.0 Suffolk Community College)

TEAS V: 84.1 Advanced (I believe this was 94-95% percentile)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

it is alot of work and does get more challenging each semester but if you are committed you can do it. its the mindset you have goign in each day and each week and each semester that helps you succeed when it seems too rough!

Since I applied through Admissions I didn't get info on when to register etc. Called admissions today and they said that they sent out registration information yesterday and that registration is May 18/19 (can't recall) at 9am.

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!:)

I'm still waiting for my letter. I hope I receive it this week.

I'm not sure if the cause of delay is because I live in Queens, better than thinking it's bad news.

Congrats you guys who got in so far!

@Sergeena I would call the department, someone in my micro class today hadn't received a letter low and behold she had been sent an acceptance letter and had never received it. They went to the department and gave her another copy of the acceptance letter.

thank you for the advice erose211.

I talked to admissions and unfortunately I didn't get in. :( This is my second time applying, I just can't believe it!

I'm not sure what's going on... I'm terribly sadden.

I have:

Ap - B

Stats- B

Eng- A

Psych- A

78 Teas score. Not a Nassau resident. I thought getting an advance gave me extra points to make up for my lacking Gpa, but that wasn't the case.

It really looks like this is not meant to be. So, I'm just going to move on from this, dust off and try other programs.

Congratulations to the ones who got in and to the ones who didn't get in, dust off and know there's always another chance whether at Nassau or somewhere else.

I think you should try again for Spring 2016. Your grades are good. Dont give up!! I hope that you get in.

I am sorry you are feeling terribly sad and I wish you got in too. I think you should go to the department or advisement and talk to someone.

Well… I finally got both of my letters in the mail today. I am going to registration on May 19th at 11am!

Got my mail today. Registration is on May at 11am.

@Sergeena. Always keep your options open. Apply to other schools plus NCC. You should try Nassau again for spring 2016 especially since the requirements will change (might work in your favour).

Thank you guys. I'm applying one more time ( while still keeping my options open and applying to other programs) because I already have 30/ 33 credits that's needed as the prerequisites for Spring 2016.

Hope you guys have a successful semester and more to come!

Hey everyone,

Do any of you know people currently in the evening program?

I heard there are no evening classes in the spring so if we start fall do we skip over spring or take non nursing classes that semester and then move on to the next nursing class the following fall? Any feedback would be appreciated

Congrats to everyone that got in & seergena dont give up !

From what I understand they do not accept new students for the night program spring semester. But if you got accepted for this fall you would still have classes in the spring

Does anyone know about the articulation program with Farmingdale?
