Nassau Community College Fall 2015

Hey guys I'm just starting another thread for the Fall semester, because it seemed the past threads were very helpful. I also had a few questions and wanted to see what other people's opinions were on my chances of getting into the program. Feel free to share your thoughts, questions, etc!

I am a Suffolk County resident and not a student at NCC. Will this hinder my chances of getting in? I've read in previous posts I would be losing out on several points because of this? I rather have you guys be 100% honest than as opposed to giving me hope. As far as my grades it's as follows...

Anatomy and Physiology I: B+ (3.5 Suffolk Community College)

Statistics: B+ (3.333 Syracuse University)

English 101: A- ( 3.7 Stonybrook University)

Psych 101: A (4.0 Suffolk Community College)

TEAS V: 84.1 Advanced (I believe this was 94-95% percentile)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is anyone taking another class with 101?

Oh ok i just finished that class this semester. I am probably going to take my electives Spanish & western civilization with 101

Really? How was Psy 216?

I'm taking Spanish too and Other World Civilizations but for the summer.

It was good definitely liked it better than the first Psych. Are you going evenings? If so i recommend H. Hillary she is a great professor and bases everything off of her review sheets.

Have you taken micro? I have yet to take it but everything was full maybe i get lucky next summer

Don't have Hillary (already registered) but I will make do.

Nassau's science classes, esp Allied Heath, full up real fast. I didn't get a chance to sign up for med micro or A&P 2 this summer or fall but might try again for Spring once I get a chance to gauge the other nursing courses from NUR101.

Hey! Is anyone attending the CPR class in NCC tomorrow? If so can you tell me the time it starts. I misplaced my receipt. Thanks!!

Not taking it but I think one of the time options was for 9am. There might be one too for 3pm but really not sure.

Does anyone know if there will be doing these CPR classes again? I couldnt make it for today or tomorrow.

I asked (a few days after registration) if they would have other days to do the CPR classes but they said June 1 and 2 was it. Might call this month or in July to see if there was any change of mind.

I was also told they weren't doing anymore CPR classes. I just got certified by HeartStart, they have locations all over, and classes offered just about every day.
