Has anyone Interviewed for NSCC ADN program? please share

That's great Neekoli- Don't let this thread discourage you. Because this is a new nursing program, things are continually changing and there are a few things that need to be ironed out. From what I have heard the coursework in running smoothly and the program itself is exceptional. They are not accredited yet, but will be after the first class graduates ( from what I just learned)! We have an amazing D.O.N, Vanderbilt graduate, running the program and it is structured to be the best because it is new! We come here to vent to each other and ask questions mostly because we are all nervous and want to be ready and well prepared for our first day! As my previous post states, "everything we have been told has been completely wrong, adjusted, deleted or misrepresented", for the most part that is true, but not everything. My last post was a little harsh, because it does get frustrating when things are not flowing like they're suppose to. Dates, times, book lists, ect have been changed but nothing major. Just enough to be an inconvenience. I am nervous how the next two years will go but I guess we shall see. I'm not familiar with NSCC, but I have confidence in my decision to attend there, and all the positive reviews from other enrolled students influenced my decision. I will have to keep this in mind the next time a bump in the road arises!!Good luck... I'll keep y'all posted :)

All my worries and concerns are, officially over, I will not be attending NSCC with y'all...Unfortunately I can not afford it at this time. I a staying positive and plan on saving more money and applying to CSCC next fall! I wish everyone the best of luck...

Jellybean01- sorry to hear that! Best of luck!

Jelly Bean,

I am heartbroken to hear that. Didn't you get financial aid? I assumed you were young, don't you get pell grants and stuff?

What are we supposed to wear to orientation??

Thank you-I only qualified for a partial grant ( because of my parents income) but that was only enough to cover tuition and some of the books. I can't afford all the upfront expenses. I thought that I could, but I know I can't right now. My grandparents were kind enough to take me in while I'm in school, but they live on a fixed income. I would have to work at least part time . I didn't think this through enough and I wish that I have. At this point I've only lost $200. I applied to several schools to increase my chances of being accepted. I was so excited when NSCC accepted me, that I didn't think or plan ahead. I am going to save money this year and stick with the schools in my area. I will be able to live home with my parents for free and go to school. I'm a little bummed out but relieved at the same time! I wish you all the best of luck!

Has anyone filled out the VA paperwork yet? Just looked at it today for the first time and I'm not sure if I am supposed to fill out all questions or if someone else does different parts of it? The attatchment A, continued page is the one I'm a little confused about. It looks like an online form... Also, has anyone gotten fingerprints yet? I'm calling Jenny Cooper tomorrow but I'm not sure what to expect. I wish I would have done all of this sooner! ha

Has anyone heard anything about registration?

I haven't gotten a letter or an email. Has anyone else?

Readergirl- what do you mean by registration? You should already be registered for your classes by Tammy. We have orientation Tuesday at 8AM

Pugmann I filled out what I understood and the rest I'm going to leave blank

Harris88_

Yes, of course I meant orientation. I suppose I am overly tired.

Did you get anything in the mail? Or an email? I haven't gotten anything.

Regarding the VA paperwork, I plan on making a copy and doing the best I can, but retaining the original in case I have messed it up.

No I haven't received anything in the mail or email. I guess they decided not to send out anything since they gave us the info when we turned in our paperwork.

I didn't get any paperwork and thankfully one of the people I talked to did. I had no clue about anything and if it wouldn't have been for her, I still wouldn't know. They didn't give me anything when I turned in paperwork
