Has anyone Interviewed for NSCC ADN program? please share

Hey there

I was hoping to apply there but by GPA was not high enough..:crying2:

Ive known students who were admitted to some local programs and didnt meet all of the requirements. For example one might have a strong GPA but poor entrance scores. I know it might seem like a waste of time but I would explore all of my options and apply(if deadline has not been met). This doesnt happen alot but I would at least try. Exceptions are made , not many though.:)

Hey there

Well, that's the only reason why I didn't apply. I have all my pre-reqs done but I've applied to an LPN program instead.

The deadline has already passed for the fall '10 class though...

Did you apply? If so, good luck!!

Interviewed today (nscc)as I understood it there were interviews on Mar 25...There are only 50 slots ..there were about 80 people interviewing today. I applied early and interviewed with the last group - I dont know if thats good or bad ????? the NSCC program is new....this admission process is stressful... now all I can do is wait to hear from the many schools that Ive applied to.

Good for you! Congrats I don't know for sure about how they do the interviewing process, but I wouldn't worry about it!

I had my second interview for NSCC on the 24th. I should be getting a letter tomorrow or Tuesday. I hope I get in!

I received my letter friday. Unfortunately I'm "wait listed". Good luck.

You should apply for Fall '11 the applications are on line and the next information session is November 18. I am currently in the program and the teachers are the BEST. Good Luck

Hi everyone, I'm new today, to this site and I love it. I was wondering if anyone in Nashville state community college's Nursing program could provide a few details. I am definitely considering them as well as Columbia state. I heard NSCC prefers only those with BA degrees, which I don not have, to get in their program. I believe this is because it is new and they need a 100% pass rate to get accredited. Is there any truth to this? Also, forgive my ignorance, how are the classes scheduled. I was curious if they are over set days and times each semester, or if you have some choices. Do they offer nights? Thank you for your post on the November 18th meeting Tingler0, I will be there! I see you mentioned the staff were nice, which is great, but are the classes hard. Was the interview questions hard and was it private or in front of several people. Are you able to work full time or is the course load too hectic? Any and all information, tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.... I apologize for all the questions, just nervous and have been out of school 25 years now....:) Thank you very much in advance!

Like any Nurse program it is hard, for me aleast lol. you do not have to have a BA but if you go to the wedsite it will tell what you do have to have done prior to the program. you will receive all the info at the meeting on Nov. 18 and i believe the director is the one done this one. She is awsome along with the rest of our teachers. You do not have a choice of the days and as for working well you go to school will depend on your learning abilities. Don't worry about the interview it is much better to be able to communitcate with someone then just submitting an application and waiting without any communication.

Glad i can help.

Thank you very much for responding! I'm looking forward to the meeting. May I ask what days and time the classes are? I was just curious as to if I will even be able to schedule work around them and if they were a Mon-Fri, 8 hour thing. The site tells which classes are being offered but says it may change. However, it does not tell days and hours. I have made several calls to the nursing department, unfortunately I have not had a return call back yet. Are the books very expensive and do you you know your entire schedule in advance? I appreciate your kindness!!!Thanks again and congratulations on your acceptance, you must be soooo excited!! Good luck!!:)
