Has anyone Interviewed for NSCC ADN program? please share
Hey there! I submitted an application to NSCC for this Falls nursing program. I am worried because they said only 49 were chosen out of over 500 applicants. I have a 3.5 GPA and finishing up the last of my prereqs now. I have no idea what to expect in an interview. Will someone shed some light on what type of questions might be asked. What exactly is a group interview like? Do you sit in a circle and answer questions one by one? If you are in the program now, what was your GPA? I don't have an SAT/ACT score, are they required? Congratulations to all who were accepted last year and good luck to those who applied for this years!Thank you
Hi! I applied to the program this semester as well, I'm finishing up my last of my pre-reqs up too! I was wondering what the average gpa acceptance was there? I know TSU's cut off was a 3.5 and they accept 60 students, but it is solely based on GPA. I'm hoping this program gives everyone more of a fair chance.
Hi m200, 2.8 GPA is needed to apply. Their admissions into the program is on a point scale. Your GPA will be on a points system, for example if you have a 2.8 you get 28 points whereas a 3.5 will get 35 points. This score, coupled with other scores will be tallied. You want to score as close to 100 as you can. You can see the criteria and how points are assigned on their web page.
* Interview 40 points
* Writing Sample 5 points
* GPA 40 points
* Math and Science Courses Completed 6 points
* General Education Courses Completed 4 points
* Tennessee Resident 5 points
100 points
Hope this was helpful

I can only tell you what I am doing and since this is the first year they could change it, but in this first semister we are going 1 day all day and then a 1/2 a day, next semister is only tentive scheduled to be first will be 1/2 day, then 1 whole day and then clinicals will be two full days. Don't give up because of the schedule though, if there is a will there is ALWAYS a way! The books can be bought on Amazon, half.com so you can save money on them.
Thanks and good luck again.
