Hi all,
Pretty much every one of us uses a tool/product of some kind that we can't function without. So what's yours?
For me, it's my trusty Neofax and Care of the Sick Neonate......

I would have to say Surfactant! I think it would have been much more challenging to work NICU pre-Surfactant.
You are soooo right! It definitely was.
Jelcos. The pre-safety needle kind. Please, dear Lord, don't let them not make them!

What are Jelcos?
I'd have to agree with both the pacifiers and surfactant.
Currently, I'd have to say high-flow humidified nasal cannulas. We used to use Vapotherm until it was recalled (still prefer it because it's got better tubing and alarms) and now we have the Fisher Paykel version. It has completely changed our unit. It works so much better than CPAP ever did for us, and it's rare to see a preemie vented now unless they're newly born or very sick. We're seeing less BPD already!
Another one is sucrose water! Works wonders when doing IVs and art sticks.
IV catheters.
This one is the wrong size, of course. It should be yellow (24g).
In the old, old days, we used to use Karo syrup. Clear for soothing, the dark kind if they needed to poop.
