For me it was a combination of hard work and lots of prayer. I enrolled at Kaplan for 2 months and tried to read and learn about as many topics as i can, slowly but with consistency. I tried to understand the topic more than memorize it. Did practice questionnaires, and reviewed the rationales. On my third month, and also a month before i sit for the exam, i just practiced by answering kaplan q trainer while applying test taking strategies they taught at kaplan. I did all the memorization of lab. values, tables and medications on the last week. Finally as I sat for the exam, I quietly prayed and then gave it my best. And thank God I passed. I do hope you find a strategy that would work for you.

Don't be in a hurry. You don't want to take it again for the 7th time. Give time for it and focus. Don't give up. Pray for it. In time, you'll make it too. All the best. (:

Try Hurst Review. I took the NCLEX-RN too many times...Yes the english comprehension was very hard for me.. Im also grad from foreign country thats why I know how you feel. When my friend gave me this audio. I watched and listened to Miss Hurst very carefully. She explained the ADH and Aldosterone very well. I took my board last Fri (March 11th) did the PVT then check the quick results and received the paper that I passed. Goodluck on next exam :)

Ur username made me laugh... Congratulations!:yeah:

failing the exam five times is most certainly an indication that you are dealing with more than simply "bad luck." unfortunately i have a feeling that you are only going to heed advice that reinforces your current way of thinking. a poor grasp of the english language is most certainly hindering your ability to pass the exam. moreover, if you do manage to pass by the skin of your teeth next time, you could be putting future patients at great risk due to your inability to comprehend and communicate in english, especially since you seem unable to recognize the degree of your language deficit.

To Nurseen:

As I said, the comprehension part was hard for me too. Hope you're not doing the memorize thingy, coz that sucks!

Try to understand the concept, then answer at least 25 questions. When you answer the question, ask yourself why is this happen? dont look at choices yet, then when you figure it out, then can you make your choice. I used the Hurst Review and watch the video.

How I wish I can share the video with you, so I can help you too.

Anyway, good luck and keep trying ok?
