Graduated at the end of March; took my NCLEX yesterday. I've been studying kaplan in between those months (it was also part of our program throughout school). I did the q-bank, went to the online review sessions, memorized my lab values, practiced math, said "screw pharmacology bc there's no way i'll remember all the drugs" but tried to read it, and used the review strategies.
My NCLEX was nothing like Kaplan.... I couldn't even use the strategies on the questions. I used 3 scratch papers to "think on paper", stayed there for 4 hours, got a total of 7 "select all that apply" questions, had alot of patient priority questions and drag choices to the right side of the screen near the end, 1 math question, and stopped at 85. My 2 classmates took it as well and they had the same test but different than mine. It seems they had harder questions bc they had ALOT of "select all that apply", alot of meds, etc... I feel like they got hard questions bc they were doing well and i got the "dumb" questions bc I was getting the easy ones wrong... they also stopped at 85 but completed it at 2 hours. I've been praying forever...even after graduation. Studying + praying we al passed was my study plan. I was praying during the test, even when I went to the bathroom...I'm trying not to think about it but I'm scared...
PS: Our other classmates have been so supportive and encouraging. They've all passed (so far) and most of them stopped at 85 questions too. I got out of the test relieved but my classmates felt like they failed after they took it...it's getting freaked out, I didn't feel that same way too :/

Did you try the PVT? I used the Kaplan QTrainer that I found via this site, along with NCSBN, and Saunders..but out of all of them I thought Kaplan's questions were the closest to the NCLEX.

Almost everyone I knew thought they had failed. Everyone passed.
Chances are you did just fine.
No, I didn't try PVT. I got anxious when I attempted at it. Maybe I'm so used to Kaplan, I was expecting it to be exactly like it... I had alot of teaching questions, labs... seems basic and I literally analyzed every single, freakin, answer. But then I overanalyzed between 2 answers instead of letting my gut pick
I sure hope so. Thanks!
