Ok so I posted something a few days ago about me graduating in summer 07, took the nclex in dec. failed, and I'm trying to get back on track and study again, ok well I went with my mom to the carribean for a funeral, we stayed a little over a week and a week later I am now setteling down ready to study. Well my mom wants to go to england! she said only for a week, and I keep telling her that I cant go I goota study. So my mom and I are really close, we do everything together, and I really dont want her to travel by herself, but I still gotta settle down and study, what do I do, cause in a way england would be fun to go to, but then again I soo want to pass the nclex and become a nurse! Help any advice:confused:

U answered ur own question hun. Forget everyone and everything and make NCLEX ur first and foremost priority. What if you told your mom that when you pass NCLEX, you'll buy her the ticket and go with her and stay there one month if she wants? Your mom will understand you, the NCLEX exam computer won't; nor will those ppl who are writing NCLEX exams and delivering our results.
They spin the quetion left and right, even after knowing the content, you answer the question wrong, because obviously those ppl who are writing the exam want to make sure you can make a good judgement no matter how or what way they twist the informations. BUT, boy oh boy, I'll give it to them that they definitely know how confuse you. Now, that's STRESSFUL enuff, why do u want to stress urself more after u come back from one week vacation. England is going nowhere. It will still be there tomorrow when you have RN infront of ur name.
The longer u wait, the more information u'll forget. And, you basically answered ur own dilemma. What I got reading ur post was: I want to have a Professional RN licensure. Good luck

I say you tell your mom that you WILL go to England with her, but NOT until you PASS that NCLEX!!! Tell her that going to England with her would be an excellent way to celebrate passing and becoming an RN. What better way to celebrate!?! This would also give you motivation to study!
Hope it all goes well for you!

go on the trip with your mom. mom's are once in a lifetime. nclex will be there when you get home. you'll have lots of time to study on the plane, both ways and can study in a hotel room at night. i would say "cheerio" lets go!
i seriously doubt anyone on here would actually turn down a trip to england with mom to stay home and study. it's a week for goodness sakes. you're not going to be gone for a year.

i hate to say it, but, i did turn down many ski weekends when i was studying for nclex. granted it is definately not the same as going to england - but with all the snow we had this year - it was hard to say no! all that snow and no time to play!

your mom is talking about going to england or she has the tickets for you and her? if she is talking then ask her to wait until after you have done the nclex. give her a date. lets say your nclex is on april 22, then you leave for england on the 24th :) if she has booked the tickets then go,,,,,,,,,,, and do nclex when you return. once you start working as a nurse , you will be hard pressed to be able to take off and go on a trip. i would love to have been able to go on a trip with my mom to europe, she would not have had to ask me twice!
bon voyage
thanks ur right! I'm gonna go!
