Can a registered nursed perform a physical, or only a MD or a PAC can perform a physical. I work in the health field and only have seen MD and PAC perform physical examinations.
Thanks for the help

I believe that employment or pre-employment PEs are usually done by an MD, PA-C, or NP. But they're also usually arranged through the facility's employee health office.
I could be wrong.

A nurse practitioner can perform an exam. A regular nurse an't.
I know a couple MD's and Pa-c's who i work with, i hope they are willing to do a physical on her, because she needs it by 7:00 tonight to start working

Highly unusual, that the hiring facility did not make arrangements for the physical with a provider of their choice. Is your friend expected to foot the bill for the pre-employment physical? Will she be paying your co-worker for his/her services?
Poor planning all the way around, from all parties.

I once had a pre-employment physical examination performed by a physical therapist who operated his own private practice. The company footed the bill for the exam, and I had to travel to the physical therapist's private office to undergo the exam. His PT assistants were also helping to administer the bulk of the physical exam.
